1. MC doesn't have the same feelings with ML *yet*
2. MC never has one night stands anymore after meeting ML and doesn't even sleep around that often after working in Spoin.
3. I don't think MC is mad about the kiss. He is simply surprised (and he even though ML is cute for blushing after the kiss)
4. Even if he were mad, I wouldn't find it strange because they had a compromise to talk things over *after* the competition.
It's just my personal opinion. I dont think MC is that horrible. Some might find him annoying for choosing to do things in contrast with their expectations, but I see his lacks as very human.
And if you were at chapter 51, I don't think that's enough to judge his whole character yet. It's not even ¼ of the whole story, and he WILL definitely have character development—a very good one. You just have to be patient since the pace is pretty slow ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

I wouldn't find that odd tho. MC only saw ML as his young junior and he's been thinking ML is hating him all this time, so of course he'd be surprised and find it hard to believe that ML actually likes him romantically. MC also tends to take his job seriously and wants to separate personal and work-related matters. It's no wonder he tries to keep the boundary so that he wouldn't mess up the whole thing. We're talking about dealing with a top athlete right ahead of an important competition here.
But I understand if that kind of plot isn't to your liking. I wouldn't blame you. Though, I still hope readers will not judge MC too harshly too early ಥ‿ಥ
I think the same, i like MC. I think some people are a bit harsh on him.
Honestly i understand him, MC dosen't like ML and he keeps pushing his limits, of course he'd be uncomfortable.
MC is a perfectionist, kind and dosen't make hasty decisions. While ML is rude/straight forward and rash, that makes him a great swimmer and a champion but in his relationships with people it hurts others because he comes across as inconsiderate and rude.
But none talks about his attitude towards his mother, his family, the staff, and sometimes MC.
MC and ML have some changes through the story.
