can't help the uncomfortable feeling i got during reading this. i like age gap, but if they're also gonna use the time travel trope, it'll be good if the age gap isn't as big as this. i know he is mentally 21 but the visualization is a bit sickening.
Why? Literally nothing inappropriate happened, and the attachment the ML felt for the kid was legit and sweet, I mean, the kid basically saved him when he was at his lowest, who wouldn't get attached? I read a few comments and I feel like some people read it with only the romance in their head, even though it takes about 2% of the story, I don't really understand since there are a few kids I'm quite fond of myself, could you explain more precisely what bothered you please?
i literally said in my comments. i know he's mentally 21 but the visualization of the two is a bit disturbing. especially when we knew they are going to end up together.
They don't, though? At least when he's "mentally 21.
They started together, one died, the other traveled back 12 years ago with the main objective of saving the dead one. He saved him in many ways, lost his memory and the vet left him alone for 10 years, and even when he came back, the ML is still not in love, just very attached to the kid, and he only chooses to give a chance to whatever relationship could develop was because of the flash forward he saw of them being together and himself dying.
All the hint of a possible romance happened when the mc was +20 yo. That's why I ask.
But, hey don t take it the wrong way huh, I'm just trying to understand because what made you uneasy is what I found beautiful in the story, the legit attachment to a kid with nothing ever becoming more, so I'm curious, I'm not trying to convince you but your dry answer makes me feel like you don't want to talk? Sorry if that's so, I didn't mean to bother you, you posted a comment so I just thought you were up for a conversation.
the thing is, my comment is pretty straight-forward. you're getting in a circle. i don't mind the kind of bond that they have in the story. i said it's the visualization of a literal child and a grown man that made me disturbed. especially when they cuddle and stuff.
Oh... Well to me they pretty much looked like family at this point, I guess we didn't read it with the same mindset ^^
