Not to excuse it but if you really don't like "the way this story is going" - why did you guys pick it up in the first place? The very first scene in the very first chapter is the ML raping the MC whilst chained up. It's been very clear where this was going from day one. Could you not think "ahh maybe this isn't the story for me" 20 months ago?
