Those fans who complain about the toxicity of Jinx and still continue reading it are just so stupid, if you hate it so much, then stop reading it, cease the demand, then the author will probably change the tone of the story too, afterall, it's their livelihood, they just cater to the readers' demands. hahaha, I love your openness. But to answer your question, it's partly for dramatic effect (you know, the virginal response, etc.), or it could probably be, just like irl, simply coz their holes are just too tight/small, so putting something there out of the blue would be a literal pain in the ass.
