really cute despite being problematic, the ending was just not my cup of tea. Would be interesting to know more about them though, I like the uke well enough, he's interesting.
don't like the seme, he's a self-professed bum who doesn't even want to be better, and the uke just comes off as someone who accepted him coz he's too tired to even try resisting anymore.
so cute, so good. I really like the chemistry between both, the uke is clingy and the seme is possessive but unlike others with this trait, that personality is ingrained with some actual backstory that makes actual sense. I love this. I would love to read more. Btw, not really supernatural despite the animal theme (?) for both MCs, tho there's some slight implications here and there, we might get confirmation on that with the next chapter/s.
One of those couples I call "beloved by the author" everything goes well for them from the get go and they like each other mutually, no drama, all fluff.
Dunno why it has such low rating, it's good. You know those stories where someone wants to rescue the princess but gets sidetracked? It's this one and the mc even ends up with the prince who also previously tried to rescue another princess. It's too fast-paced for me and there's not much room for lore, BUT I do like how animated the uke is, he also has great potential for being a power bottom (specially since they're finally together, or at least implied at the end). Seme is stoic-looking but he's really a Himbo at heart, I like it, love their dynamic. I wish the author would continue this in a much longer form. Really enjoyed it.
This manwha is already completed on another site, no notice for any side stories too, I just re-read this here coz the translation on the other one is busted, this one is better. Anyway, I really like this work so far, but then the last chapter (54) was so trivial that it didn't even seem like an ending for me, like the author woke up and decided to end it for no reason at all, I was really surprised to see "End" at that chapter and really can't believe that's how the author chose to end it.
Basically here's what happened on the last chaps:

Seme was injured, and to help him recover, uke went on a hunt for some ginseng in some mountain; some fella caught him looking for it, a fortune teller. They talked about the gods that they worship since both of them have some level of supernatural ability, the fortune teller then tells him that if he's looking for ginseng, he can show where it is in exchange for coming with him and talking about the god that the uke worships, uke agrees and follows the bloke, they talk and drink, uke got drunk and passed out but then woke up when he felt the fortune teller feeling him up. The guy says no homo, he just need to cop a feel to sense the power of uke's god since his own god is deteriorating (? something like that, translation might be off), so anyway, yeah seme suddenly burst into the scene and catches them in that compromising situation.
He beats the fortune teller AND the uke (not actually shown, only the aftermath which was illustrated comedically) then the seme makes the uke revise their contract to add "no drinking" and "no following stranger", uke rebuts that he only did that because he was looking for ginseng to help the seme recover quickly. Seme picks up the ginseng that the uke found, breaks it in half and force-fed the half to uke, this had an aphrodisiac effect on him and he comes on heavy towards seme, they have seggz as expected.
After that, seme orders his goons to look for all the ginseng in the area where uke was searching for, then he thought of any possible way he can prevent the uke from straying away again, next thing we know he's back in the house, shows a ring to uke, and then basically forces him again to wear the thing, saying it's for safety measures. He asks tho if he doesn't like it, and the uke says if it's seme it's fine. That's basically it, that's the end.
The uke seemed frightened to the very end and was only complying because he doesn't want to die, seme on the other hand stuck with taking advantage of their contract to the end, completely disregarding uke's feeling on the matter. At the end of it, the relationship just seemed obligatory rather than romantic, it could be developed so, so much more. Too bad, I really adored their dynamic in the earlier chapters, that's what hooked me into waiting for the updates, the ending was such a letdown.
I like backstories myself, but for this one, I'd highly suggest ya'll to skip volume 1 it's basically just their backstory, a needlessly angsty one at that. For me the second volume is much better and can standalone, plus the personalities of the characters changed, it was practically a different work for me. Beautiful art tho, specially that panel on the aquarium trip.
I thought the same too sigh i wish they gave us more of their relationship (and their respective hobbies) the ending feels unfinished
