Sorry as a novel reader I'm not really impressed with how they handled the flashback it felt very out of place and jarring. I think just the flashback hinting at their previous relationship indirectly would have been better. It would have set the mood/atmosphere better instead of flat out sex. Considering the novel is really careful and good at creating atmosphere and gradually developing their relationship, I guess maybe im being too nitpicky.
it’s valid though, it took like 100+ chapters for them to have sex and THERE was much more beautiful scenes they can put not just sex ;-; Nayla
Yes that's the biggest reason why it bothered me, because there was so much care and and gradual build up in their relationship and then when they do finally get to that stage it felt really meaningful. Showing it now just doesn't feel right
no cuz i totally agree. but i also feel like they’re doing too much with kishiar. idk if that’s just me or wtv and ik he’s depicted as like.. a big beast from yuders pov and to be smiling all the time but the way he’s drawn looks like he’s condescendingly smiling or that he’s sex crazed which to my memory just doesn’t match right idk

he doesnt seem sex crazed or condescending to me mangoga
maybe i’m just looking too much into it. he’s giving off like… sexual tension vibes. ik he wanted to get with yuder to begin with but just the way he’s depicted in the manhwa seems a little over the top

i can understand you i just didnt agree to the extent you were describing him as
literally like I was honestly not excited about the manhwa adaption after reading that beautiful novel cause there's no way it can be as good as the novel. anything being even 0.1% different from the novel gives me the ick

Ya I get what you mean. When it comes to writing, things can be more nuanced and your brain can fill the gaps with your imagination. Kishiar comes off more as a mysterious, charismatic unfathomable leader. It cam be harder to depict that visually. The way he's drawn does feel a bit more intimidating, maybe the huge height difference contributes to that. I don't think yuders supposed to be that mucj shorter than him

I actually started with the manhwa and only found the novel after because of it so I guess I have that to thank the adaptation for. But ya kinda feel bad that after finishing the novel my standards shot up and then the manhwa wasn't as enjoyable to me.

!! the height difference is a good point! i think it’s the angle we see him drawn at tbh. most of the time it’s him looking down at “us” so it feels that way
Just wanna say the novel is my favourite thing I love it sm, so many well written characters! A lot of the supporting cast are so likeable and very distinct I love enon so much
The whole story behind the emperor's sword mark and the scene after with kishiar and yuder is one my fav moments, it's just so poetic. Plz feel free to share with me parts of the novel u liked!!

If you mean in a romantic sense, no, Yuder ends up with the Commander not Gakane. But there is still good developments between them in the future just platonically:)

My dude is so desperate for seyeong to like him back Wants revenge by getting noona to fall for him but then says he doesnt care if he hates him as his excuse to move in.. riiiight u keep telln urself that heejae
Haha im lowkey bothered how everyone has a similar buff body type especially since the calvary is supposed to be made up of commoners (gakane being an exception). Kinda wish there was more variety since it's like a rag tag gathering of all kinds of different people.
