Sacrifice implies you personally accept the consequence that is presented to you because you desire a certain outcome. The brother of the golden age was raped by his sibling after being chained up because he had jeweled eyes. Don't imply it was anything other than rape.
Also I don't mean to say you cant be raped if your sacrificial. I mean to say that the way it was translated, it implies that the rape was the sacrifice. It was not. In fact, it seemed like he did nothing but manifest his powers, which led to him being chained and sexually assaulted somehow making him the 'lucky one' -_-
This manga is basically like looking at the original story (that eventually gets changed) of villainess reincarnated isekais, with the crybaby 'sweet' possibly idiotic ml coming in from a poor background to eventually earn the love of the ml while the villainess is used and thrown away by everybody (before villainess gets a second chance to kick ass).
That is probably one of the reasons I can't seriously like this ml ;-; i'm not used to rooting for her type.
Rightt, her character is just very annoying to me!Like she think's the duke is obligated to love her and show affection, like no you literally used magic for him to love you.She tries to act like the victim which annoys me.And she just act's to much like a child, she "contradict's" herself like you are saying. She want's to protect other's around her, but put them in bad situations. I personally like female lead that can put someone in their place, she doesn't even have to able to use a sword like other female leads. I just would like her to be able to at least be strong, she at least could be able to handle her people without the duke. She had no character development from what I have seen, she at least should've been able to handle things on her own. Her character could've been better or at least had character development, but it didn't so i'm dropping it. I just can't seem to like it with the way her character is and how the story is I can't like it. So many things could've happened in the story to make it better, most of the story was her going outside **like shopping or whatever**.I really don't know..
This manga is now pushing it with the sadness. Maybe its just the way its being incorporated, but its starting to feel a tad bit unrealistic.
I kind of agree with Momo, I mean first the mom gets into an accident, her family dies, she is deformed, her boyfriend dumps her, she dies during pregnancy, her kid gets stolen, her not-stolen kid is mute, her stolen kid is raped (assuming), her new husband dies when the youngest is still in high school, her step son kisses her daughter
I mean this is all too much crazy shit to be a coincidence
BUT its ok it keeps me interested, just less surprised
Yeah, I kinda agree. The mother's accident, her face, bullying, her death, the deaf daughter, the abduction, the no-incest kiss, the poverty, the rape, etc. I mean, I understand the intention, this shit happens, but the way is presented: constant tragedies in short and consecutive chapters collide with the fact that it tries to be grounded but there is little room to breath from the sadness. IDK, it looks like it tries to much to make a point. Maybe another format could have helped the story to grow a little better but, based in the other works, is the author style. I still like their drawings, but I will probably wait is finished to read it again.
Oh my fucking god...its NOT more endearing to see her notice every single thing about the villainess trying to usurp her but do practically nothing about it. In fact, it makes her feel like a pushover. There has not been anyhere near enough chapters with her and ml turning the tables on bad couple to make this ok. Its just frustrating T_T
Look I can take them blatantly copying scenes from I Suddenly Became A Princess. But they got nerve claiming he is 'protecting her in his own way' and so now she loves him when we're shown literally 3 instances of semi-kindness amidst a shit ton of coldness. And she's a goddamn adult, she should know better. At least we were shown Claude treating Athy nice (tsundere style) over a period of YEARS before she started really accepting him as a good father. This is just ridiculous -_-
These characters are even worse then usual for harlequin.
