No I am not trying to diss. I am genuinely wondering why most of the times when artists are drawing people of darker skin complexion they make them ashy . Find a person of that skin tone irl and show me the only way they are going to be like that is if they need moisturizer.

And you guys are always come up with some excuse as the why they color them that way . “ oh he is a snake , angel , fairy, dragon “ like it’s and excuse for mis-representing ppl of darker skin tone or you guys say something like the author is Asian that why they can’t draw people of darker skin tones properly

Fighting colorism with colorism specifically. They complain about grey skin and hating on it while complaining there’s lack of dark brown skin lack of representation. There’s one ML from manhua called counterattack something I forgot time but he’s dark toned.

You don’t have to be black to talk about color representation. There’s plenty of representation for black people and just dark toned people in general. I get what you’re trying to get at, but it’s not that serious. It’s just a character with grey undertones, not worth fighting or arguing over. Now if the author was a racist, yes.

This is fiction, a person can be purple, pitch black, pale white, green, etc. Whole point is, it’s not that serious.

What do you mean by someone of color? POC? I’m confused because anyone can have dark toned skin regardless of their ethnic background, it’s just more common with Asians and African/black Americans. And he’s an Angel, I don’t think skin colors really matter atp.

I just don’t get why you are hardcore focusing on the skin color, as if it’s wrong. What fault do you find in him having grey undertones? And their hairs are literally red and grey-ish, I don’t see nobody complaining about that. Why skin tone specifically?
