It's not that, he believes she has always been treated like royalty and has seen her as delicate and vulnerable - especially when she fainted.
Everything he's done was to prove he can provide for her as well as her father did. Until she tells him the truth about that, he will think he took her from a super cushy life (like her sister really was living). None of the nobles would let their wives go on a campaign to fight monsters.
Amen that! People forget that his perspecrive is so much different from what we see in the story

There is all kind of lawyer some of them never do the grand things you see in TV. It look like she is lawyer for a company so it's more about meeting client and handling stuff inside the company than being in a courtrooms:) and it look like.she got a backbones if she put her mind to it
