Kaname is so toxic and is a hypocrite that it really pains me to read the last chapter. The ending was appalling. These lines made my blood boil
" Look at me properly and talk about it. I won't understand if you don't say anything. I'll continue to be anxious."
This line was drop by Kaname. Let us acknowledge that all the misunderstanding started with Kaname. He caused Shima to become anxious.
For all those who would rather disagree with my opinion I would like to present points that really showed how bad the story was:
1) They had been dating for 2 years but Kaname can't still openly talk about things with Shima.
2) During the appeasement Kaname didn't even ask for forgiveness for the misunderstanding he had brought to their relationship.
3) Shima is so head over heels to Kaname that he let everything pass.
i think the whole point is that he had character development though. he realised that he has never actually communicated with Shima- which is why he rushed to fix his mistake. the end was basically him developing and evolving into a better partner and being more open.
it’s quite obvious that he was in the wrong the entire manga, which doesn’t actually need to be pointed out. it isn’t an unhealthy relationship anymore if they’re growing and communicating. they’re in university and newly in love. that’s the entire point.
I agree that it give Kaname the character development he needed but for me it felt glossed over by him expressing his love for Shima. It did solved the problem since it indirectly concerns the anxiousness they are having for each other but didn't directly tackled their miscommunication issues. Or maybe it might have felt rushed for me.
I could never stop my heart from wrenching during the flashback of the Grandfather. I'm such a sucker for sad stories. Additionally, the extra made it far more grand due to the Masaki's Grandfather knowing that Haruhito's Grandfather read about Natsume Souseki Novels.
I wish this had more chapters. Ooooh I wish for more.
I like how it shows Masaki's inclination to do violence along with portion of his past in which he took steps to changed his ways. I think the heaviest one to affect his propensity for violence was Chiaki. Masaki really did like Chiaki and as the Chiaki has phrased pertaining to Masaki "You who needs violence and threaths to get attention from others."
I really enjoyed both Chiaki's and Masaki's stories but for me, this one is far greater than the other. Chiaki felt like about understanding one self. This one focuses on Masaki's growth as a person and how Tsubasa affected Masaki's character.
Chapter 7 ending was so greaaat! It was splendidly done! Takahiro saying "I love you" along with the video made my eyes water! And the line of Tarou "Just how far is the beer?" really emphasized the time they were not together.
Daaaaamn. This had been uploaded in 2016 but still one of the most beautiful slice of life+yaoi+smut manga I have ever read.
I always find the sex scenes in most BL disrupts the flow of the story but this ones properly blended it with the story. Additionally, the backstories added substance to Tarou's definition of Love making it less lustful in a way.
Maybe it's just me but my Mom always tell us that if our partner ever raised their hand against us once it has a high possibility to happen again.
And let us appreciate that the only likable character here, Ryouma AKA homewrecker. He stopped having sex immediately after Natsuki told him he was in a relationship and even had the courage and character to talk to Arata to possibly amend the relationship of the two.
The characters were so greatly done. I love how emotions are emphasize and problems were discussed with such depth. It tackles the effect of actions and gives the next step a profound consequence.
This manga makes me wish for everyone to have success in their endeavor or journey, whether it's concerning love, finding joy, or the means to live.
Let us keep going, even if it's hard, even if it's tiring, even if you doubt yourself, please remember that someone out there is wishing for you to reach or understand your goals or emotions. Also don't forget to rest! We'll get there one day!
