I really don't like how Richard, his dad (and then the Emperor) just decided on the FL's fate like that. Without her input or consent. She was nice to Richard, and he repaid it by clinging on really hard and not treating her like a person. I get he has abandonment issues, but he doesn't treat his dad or others like that.
His father, the Duke, said it himself that he was adopting her so she could live in the Estate, but not "at Richard's level". So disgusting. And the Emperor is worse, he did it to repay a favour. Stole someone else's child!
Really glad she got back to her family, because they don't look down on her and don't confine her. Even the priest is likable, because he hasn't hurt her or looked down on her.
As for her trash family in the human world, I wish them poverty (since that seems to be the only thing they care about). Even if the grandmother hated her, they treated her like trash. Pathetic scum.
Also, the sheer facepalm of thinking that any gift from one's enemy is harmless. Apparently reading all those Chinese dogblood novels have taught me well (lol).

The female characters were actually likable up to where I read, the male characters made me violent.
Betty's naivete is part of her charm, but she really isn't fit to play these types of games. I guess she'd do better as a Duchess, because she has the skills to control the social scene. Palace intrigue is a different game.

Silly happy ending always make me happy, because they avoid that bitter realism. But Rosianna is doing well in avoiding the bad endings so far. Maybe now she'll accept some help.

Roxy is a rare ML with facial scars, and no magical beautification. And Leah is strong and badass and doesn't trip over her own feet and isn't out hunting white lotuses. She's just a strong, beautiful woman.
All the secondary characters are fun too, they have their own roles. Just great writing.
She really doesn't understand society games. Him wanting some of her attention is a good sign. Maybe I should let the chapters build up because the pace is a bit deadly to the plot.
