That he wants Hess to do the dirty work or restraining the nobles (who are rightfully pissed) is the same BS he did with Kael! He let Kael do all the dirty work and then threw his aside. I'd say screw this kingdom, take Kael and go somewhere with nice weather, but her baby is all involved and cares.
