This was freakin' pure and too cute. Most of the characters were completely lovable. But goddamn I hated Koharu with a passion.

And in the end she ends up in a relationship with the guy she stalked like persistence pays off or something - NO. Just no. Then again I didn't really like that senpai guy so I don't really care.

This level of cliched rubbish makes for a nice read once in a while. The drama is ridiculous, the damsel (or uke in this case) is hormonal and the guy is a bit of an ass.

It's kind of relaxing really.

Liked the first and last stories the best - but those ending shorts killed me. XD

    yea especially the manager one!

"the next morning in a huge king-sized bed in a dazzling room basking in the afterglow it dawned on me that he had replied with a dubious non-answer" LOL!

(I might have exaggerated some of that line but oh well!)

What is with this purity level? my soul feels all clean now (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

My fav pairing is Shoui X Asari - I mean, they just pull all the right strings for me. Then Genma X Himi.

I'm weak against romance with a touch of angst.

Konoe X Kotoha is also really sweet, poor Konoe is everyone's toy. I really liked Raizo, but Kon was kinda dull, but at least gave you an intro into a kami's feelings.

This was really good for me, Nono didn't have a fantastic and magical transformative journey - it was confusing and painful and at times deceptive. It made it more real. Though I didn't really understand the speed at which she transitioned and the surgery then sex deal. Seemed the author pushed her to be crazy (possessed).

Nao was a great unreliable narrator, he was telling his story, so we saw Nono from his perspective. I couldn't really understand him thinking having sex with Nono = death, but I'm not a cisgendered male.

Really glad they didn't end up together. Tetsu was much cuter.

The author tried to include a lot of themes, suicide, disease, mental illness. While those issues do intersect, they were handled in a clunky way.

This got so many good reviews that I tried it, but sweet Lady Gaga the misogyny is strong in this one. Heaven forbid a girl not be a frickin' marshmallow. This is basically a manga about Kanzaki being cool and guys being grabby and aggressive - f**k that noise.

It's a cultural thing. Japan in particular is about 20/30 years behind gender norms and stuff, which is why it seems wrong to Westerners. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Yeah, I know, but it's still painful to read these manga written for girls that seem to say "feminine charm only works in dresses" and "girls can't play basketball" - Japan does have women (and girls') sports teams y'know (not saying this to you, but to the mangaka, lol)

Yeah, I get that! I think that the best shoujo manga are when the girl is headstrong! Even though the klutz thing is overused in most manga, I think it can work so long as she's headstrong and can think for herself! Sabaku no Harem is a good one, but it's really hard to find others </3

I'm waiting for the day where the girl can kick everyone's butt in sport.

    Will check out Sabaku, thanks!

Minato was cool, especially since he wasn't bitter or had a traumatic past or anything. I felt nice to see him try and change and grow.

Also him thinking that guy was crazy was funny.

Yoneda-sensei is such love. Probably my fav work from her.

It progressed sweetly, but not overly so.

Another "I fell in love with my rapist" manga. Not that I don't like some work that features that (like Tyrant), but the seme in this was just gross. Nice job on the side characters for making the rape victim (he's not a survivor, he's a victim of bad writing) feel guilty. Yeah, you should just walk off sexual assault.

There is a rape tag, it's a good idea to look for them when reading Yaoi if you don't like them in mangas.
