This has to be the most confusing manhua ever. I don’t get the rating. 9.2. Must be the art. I’ve never read anything that jumps around without explanation quite like this one. I’ve read from the start and really cheered this one on but cmon. Wtaf
tbf i rated it almost 20+ chapters ago when i could still follow along the story line lol. i also like manly ukes, trope subversion, and this was the one of the first manhuas i came across where the slightest hint of a sexual relationship isn't depicted by two literal twigs scissoring each other beneath a floral overlay
Your description had me cracking up. I also really liked how the characters are drawn. That’s why I’m so frustrated that I can’t follow half of this. Not the first time Chinese written stories have confused me though.
you're right the art is also probably the only thing keeping me invested rn haha. the little author q+a at the end actually makes me more frustrated bc even those don't make sense anymore. the closest i was able to follow along for a chinese story was for "i have to be a great villain" but that was undone by the most recent arc :-/. if it's a deadline issue i'd rather wait so it can be fleshed out more thoughtfully.
