I honestly think the concept and the two main characters are cute. But I can see why people complain about the lack of chemistry. I honestly think it comes down to the art. Apparently those who read the novel said the chemistry was better there. I think the artist has a pretty art style but I can see where their strength and weakness is. Their strength is making beautiful faces and their weakness is anatomy/body posing. Now props to the artist because in general anatomy is like one of the top hardest things to work on. But it’s true that it’s hard to ignore in this manhwa. When looking at close up art on their faces, it looks perfectly fine. But when there’s a panel showing the torso and arms, it looks awkward and their bodies look smaller. It’s very apparent when the ML and FL stand next to each other and you’re looking at their side profiles.
Along with the intimate skinship such as hugging, the art of the bodies look stiff and comes off as awkward which many believe is the source of it looking like there’s no chemistry and looks unnatural. Like chapter 88 when ML is holding her cheek and has a hand on her waist, there’s so much space and his right arm is non-existent. Chapter 90, when they’re hugging each other you can see their bodies look off. And when he has her hand on her shoulder in another panel, FL’s body shrinks and her arms look so much tinier. Anyways I’m not trying to bash the artist, I’m just pointing out details as to why the art may giving off stiffness and that can rub off onto the feel of the character’s relationships. I still give props to the artist since making a comic is hard work and exhausting, I don’t expect superior art and consistency in every single panel. It’s the reason why so many smaller authors/artists on w3 b to0ns discontinue their work, it’s a draining and stressful job lol.
Just started reading this (only on chapter 2 rn) and ngl I’m pretty tired of the dumb af mom trope. Her logic is so stupid. She’s crying over the fact that she chose to leave him in order not to hurt him knowing she doesn’t have long to live- but she also proceeds to directly hurt him anyways by leaving??? He’s hurt both ways no matter what. She also doesn’t think about the awful situation she put her child in by leaving and knowing damn well, dragons don’t accept humans/getting together with humans. She KNEW she didn’t have long to live but chose to go to a dangerous environment shunned by her kind for her kid. So she basically was ready to leave her kid there. She made the situation way worse by making that bad impression on the father, and thus already making a rift between father and child both in bad understandings and no relationship for years. She basically created an even bigger problem for everyone just to die and leave the problem for everyone else to solve. I honestly think an interesting plot would to have those “run away mother” survive and actually face the consequences of how dumb their decisions are. Also be lectured by their own kid for their stupidity. Like GIRL you are part of the issue for your failure in relationship.
I couldn’t find anymore chapters on this but according to Baka updates, this is a complete 3 chapter volume? It was made back in 2017. Apparently it continues in another series under a different title named: Undergrand Hotel: Spell on You. Started in 2024. The status says there’s 6 volumes and that the focus is now on Sen’s POV of this situation. There’s no translation though.
I can already tell that the police won’t be called and the stalker won’t go to jail simply because mc tries to understand and be friends with the stalker after the stalker talks about their feelings and cries and supposedly turns over a new leaf.
(⌒▽⌒)
At this rate mc may be a shoujo FL that treats everyone with kindness lmao
It’s pretty funny how on tt there’s two groups that think differently about this manhwa. One group that hyped this story up by talking about it and making edits. And the other group that’s absolutely enraged at seeing the hype and proceeded to trash this story while comparing it to several regular romance manhwas. Literally saw a post rating manhwa and they put all historical romance manhwa highly, and added this single manhwa at the end rating it low. It’s no wonder since they keep trying to compare regular fluffy romance to a SMUT. They’re like “this story is trash! I read quality content like veil and other beautiful historical manhwa!!”
Looks like they’re changing and adding more conflict into the manhwa than what was originally in the novel. I can see why since it’s possible some novel readers may have thought the story is too light and has little actual conflict, but I’m also conflicted because I didn’t mind it having little conflict. It stood out that way compared to other stories that used drama as their main source to keep readers entertained.
The black haired saintess was NEVER a problem at all in the novel. She was hardly involved with the main characters and was more like a side character whose info of her ending was thrown in at the end. It was never relevant and never caused any problem for the FL. I don’t even remember the saintess having a thought about sabotaging anything going on between blondie and FL because FL was always finding ways to get away from him anyways. It feels like they’re adding more interactions between blondie and FL to make blondie worse than he already was in the novel. In the novel blondie was delusional and annoying asf but he was tame by simply being delulu and clingy until near the end where he got more pushy and stepped over boundaries. He’s getting pushier sooner in the manhwa. Also they added more scenes of Kylo and blondie fighting here with that watching play scene, and added the revised scene of FL going with blondie instead when she originally went with Kylo to the ball in the novel.
There’s really no point in hiding that she’s actually a girl. Her mother’s reasoning for lying about the MC’s gender was simply because she was afraid she’d attract danger for being favored by the emperor for being his only daughter. But that point literally is shown as the emperor favors the mc openly already yet nothing happened. Even the mom admitted that it should be time to reveal the truth soon.
It’s the fact that everyone excluding the mom knows the actual truth and everyone truly believes mc is a boy but just looks cute dressed as a girl and lets it be.
Dang B&TO readers are insufferable. I tried reading it over there and they somehow blamed the ML and bashing him for what happens in the first two chapters. They were mad he was upset at the thought of her being with many men before and thinking she’s like a slut. But she fr made him think that way by immediately initiating sexual stuff with him in the office and saying she has been with many dudes. He didn’t even think that way until after she purposefully acted like that. And they’re blaming him for thinking about it. Despite this literally being the role reversal of those other FLs who feel anxious when thinking about the playboy MLs past. They just hate the man at this point no matter what he does.
I might have missed something so correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t remember seeing a reason for why Dia is so adamant about believing her own father will kill her. It just doesn’t make sense to me? I don’t remember seeing any signs he had that intent. And logically it also doesn’t benefit him in any way, if anything it would be a loss for him. Because he doesn’t have any other child to take over, so losing his only heir/daughter would be a loss. And the fact that he believes his daughter is useful by marrying her off and connecting the families, so why would he give that up by killing her?
Anyways I don’t feel bad for dia. She made her own choices that way. She admitted it that she didn’t trust eiser enough. She physically couldn’t even TALK to him and see him when he struggled. So he was there for her when she was getting high on drugs through a rough time but the moment he goes through something she couldn’t do the same and was too focused on herself. My question is, if she had gotten her goal by marrying victor with her family situation and was successful would she be as unhappy and unsatisfied? I’m convinced she’s only acting like this now because she failed in decision making and it didn’t go well for her. I believe if she successfully reached her goal using victor she would be very satisfied and content with her decision (but still greedy for more once she sees eiser happy without her). I also wonder if eiser had not become successful and was still at at a low point in his life and was weaker than victor, would she even bother considering staying or going back to him? Or she only wants to be with him now BECAUSE of the addition that he’s successful?
These readers paranoia rubbed off on me. Ppl being scared and talking about how they think the mom jumped due to the “thud” sound, which I never even noticed the first time so I had to go back to even check. Then someone else smartly talking about if she jumped it would’ve been a “splash” instead of thud lmaooo. Then checked the latest raw chapter:

She didn’t jump. So conclusion- y’all gotta stop spreading your paranoia sheeeeeesh. It reminds me of when Pearl boy ended and people were so adamant about wanting to believe the two mcs died lol.
So I saw the latest raw chapters. And note that this may not be accurate as I didn’t bother to translate everything:
So once again Gunner shows up, this time to Theo’s office. They talk. I can only hope that gunner was threatening Theo to go out on a date with him, otherwise Theo made a dumb decision to agree to go with him while gunner is spouting nonsense saying “I’ll change, give me a chance.” Theo ends up going to dinner with him and riding in the car with him, and then of course guess where that ends up. Another SA. Theo panics upon seeing some random dude come up to them and it reminds him of when he was attacked so he has a panic attack, gunner waves a gun around, gunner kisses Theo, and Theo calms down. Gunner says some more stuff and and uses his gun to kinda open up theo’s clothes, then let’s go of the gun and then calls his men to block the area so he can have sex with Theo in the car. It could be rape as Theo may not want it, but at this point Theo doesn’t resist at all anymore, if anything he has a heart-to-heart talk while in the middle of gunners dick up his ass and caressing gunner cheek saying “I loved you, you loved me back then, now it’s just obsession, this isnt right.”
I’m not trying to victim blame but damn, I wish Theo put up a fight instead of tried to talk it through. Gunner probably won’t give up until someone’s dead in my opinion, talking it through with the man who beat you and SA you isn’t the smartest idea.
I looked through the comment pages and all ppl talk about is twink this and twink that, as if both bodies have a ginormous difference when they nearly look exactly the same except for hair color and face design. I would get it if the bodies were widely different but they really aren’t. Even so, as someone who loves more masculine and buff mc/bottom, it is pretty annoying when ppl always bring up being upset over twinkification. It’s like their body is the only focus of the entire story. His original body is disintegrated, LETS MOVE ON PLSSS.
When ppl keep bringing this topic up, it sounds like those readers who only care so much about appearance, sexual positions, and body type over the characters personality themselves or actual plot. Y’all been saying this since the start of the story like it’ll change anything.
I checked out the raws and ngl I’m confused but that’s probably due to it being untranslated to me. It has 85 chapters but the ending seems abrupt. The end of the chapter doesn’t even say “the end” it sounds like the two mai characters were still conversing. I also looked at the authors note and it sounds like the author is apologizing for disappointing the readers. Idk whether that means they’re sorry for making an ending that readers may not like or if they’re sorry because they unexpectedly discontinued the story, hence why the ending is abrupt.
I checked and saw the future chapters and the art changes throughout the story in both this season and the second season.
╥﹏╥
I personally think the best art was the early chapters. It looks like it’s the same artist too and I guess they’re just experimenting/developing their art. But tbh the early art gives a more soft and detailed style, their face shapes also look more rounded compared to the later art that makes it more sharp. It’s fine if that’s what the artist wants to change their art to, but ngl I’m convinced many korean authors/artists succumb to mainstream art. Like the ideal is to have the cleanest lines and simple style of art that is most popular rather than softer, sketch, unique styles. It’s like the ideals of all Korean authors now follow the mainstream Pearl boy, jinx, painter of the night style. See the theme? Nobody wanna have a different style anymore because those two are believed to be the best. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen an author change their art to the popular style.

Ngl this gotta be one of the most mid revenge stories I’ve ever read (if you can even call it that). It’s more so smut + drama. Usually when revenge or justice is included in a story there’s a lot planned, but the situation was resolved so easily and it wasn’t even due to the ML or FL’s idea lmfao. I guess it’s realistic in a way that a person doesn’t get automatically smarter and knows exactly what to plot and do to get revenge, seeing as both ML and FL didn’t grow up with any of that kind of skill.
I hate to admit it I really do- but if the two antagonist characters were not as bad and took out the cheating bit entirely, they could’ve been the better main characters with a villain-like personality, based off cunningness and intelligence alone. I even felt like the author themself liked the antagonists more with how much screentime they got. It is pretty disappointing expecting and hoping for both FL and ML to get smarter and not happen. I wouldn’t recommend reading again or at all if any new readers expect a good revenge story.
As someone who constantly watches gaming youtubers and streamers, it is pretty funny that majority of the readers here know nothing about gaming and the norm lol. To those who don’t play or watch gaming, they think it’s crazy to be on call with the opposite gender for hours. When irl, it is the norm. Conversing with a friend no matter if it’s the opposite gender while gaming is normal for gamers.
It’s just so annoying for specific shoujo readers to rage at the slightest thing the ML does that makes them upset and considers it a red flag. The reason I bring up some shoujo readers is typically those who only read shoujo praise green flag flawless MLs and go insane and nitpick at any flaw or wrong the ML does. Yamada has been the most mature during their entire relationship to the point I think people forget he’s younger and this is his very first relationship. He has no experience and never was interested in dating or girls before akane. He will not know the norm of a relationship because he has never even cared about the topic before meeting akane. He doesn’t have any close girl friends to get advice or speak about such things.
Yamada has an important competition for a game, the reason why he’s even gaming with the other girl is because she’s his competitor. He’s trying to learn the most he can so he can beat her. Playing with your competitor can help you learn things such as their play style and other tips they have to get better. It’s no different than watching your opponent to find out their weaknesses. He hardly even speaks more than a few words when talking to her and is mostly listening while gaming. He is unaware that talking on the phone while gaming with the opposite gender is odd for some because that IS the norm in gaming. All his friends also didn’t think it was odd because they all regard the girl like a man.
-
People say that he should be more aware and that he’s insensitive due to akane being cheated on before. He’s always been trying to resolve anything akane has a problem with, he’s quick to cut off a friend for her during that time when he started college. He is not perfect. This is his first relationship. He will not know every situation that may cause a misunderstanding. (This part isn’t towards akane as I am not blaming her, this is more for readers who have this mindset): I get being considerate towards a partner who has been cheated on, but not everyone will or should be on high alert 24/7 due to their partner’s trust issues. You shouldn’t be paranoid and avoid contact with the opposite gender cause of your partners trust issues. That’s not something you should always cater to. That’s something the partner needs to work on. Trust is fundamental in a relationship and just cause you have trust issues from your past relationship, you shouldn’t make your partner feel the need to be paranoid to make you feel better. That kind of relationship will become exhausting. Just imagine a man got cheated on in his past relationship, getting mad at you for interacting with guy friends, you’d be fed up at some point.
I was hoping for this to get translated.
Crazy bottom x crazy top.
Reminds me of red mansion with the dynamic. It’s a shame that it’s a short story (like 15 or 14 chapters?)

The thing is I feel like there’s an addition that wasn’t necessary? It involves the blondie that ML used to be in a relationship with + the black haired crazy dude that sounds like he sponsors blondie. Idk if the author plans or planned to add more to the story or if they just randomly put them in there. They added backstory to the black haired sponsor when it had no relevance to the main couple.
Since it’s untranslated I’m not too sure about the exact relationship and timeline. It looks like ML was in a relationship with blondie, whom is a childhood friend. They seemed to be in a loving relationship until ML caught blondie fcking with the black haired sponsor. ML also knew about MC stalking him since the beginning, since 7 years ago. The thing I’m confused about is if he was in a relationship with blondie during that time or was that after he found out blondie cheated? Cause it looks like ML also gained an interest in MC over time and let him stalk him, etc.
BEWARE THOSE WHO HAVE NOT CAUGHT UP TO UPLOADED CHAPTERS- MANY UNTAGGED SPOILERS ARE IN THE COMMENTS BELOW THIS.

Sorry for spamming but I’m trying to prevent new readers from seeing spoilers. It’s absolutely ridiculous that the very first page of comments had at least 5 people spoiling without care.
For those who are caught up, pls don’t spoil for those who have yet to read it. You’re ruining the experience for others and sure, it’s the new readers responsibility to resist the comments section since it’s inevitable there will always be an untagged spoiler. But some genuinely just wanna know a brief impression to see if it’s worth a read.
