I have been reading omegaverse yaoi stories for quite some time now though I have not read as many as most of you do. Now, I want enlightenment of some sort. As per rule, the Alpha always end up biting the omega which leads to the latter rejecting others who might come their way. So, my question is, what will happen if a beta bites an omega? Is there really no effect at all? Why is this so? And does the biting of the alpha only works on the omega alone? Does it not work with betas as well? Again, why is this so? If you can, please site mangas that has some relevance with my inquiry. I would love to check them out.

The bonding between Alpha and Omega is due to the heat generated by the Omega to attract Alpha. In Omegaverse setting, this is the nature of Alpha and Omega. Both of them are meant to have the submissive relationship and to breed.
However, Beta don't have this privileged. They don't possessed the chemical bond like Alpha and Omega do. That's why Beta don't react like Alpha do when they smell Omega's heat.
So what will happen when a Beta bites an Omega? Nothing. Beta lack the chemical bond that Alpha possess to bond with an Omega. It against the nature.

Yes, Alpha's bite will only works on Omega. Again, Beta lack the chemical bonding. When Alpha bite a Beta or vice versa, nothing will happen. There won't be any chemical change in their body.

The reason Omega will reject anyone who isn't their mate is due to chemical bond they made with their Alpha. This is the nature in the Omegaverse setting. It's also to show the loyalty of an Omega towards their Alpha as well as an evidence of Alpha's dominance. Hence, many Omega are very cautious with their neck so they won't unnecessarily mate with someone against their will.
The bond that has been made cannot be undone. If the Omega wants to break it, they will have to go through the side effect which can damage them mentally.

Alpha and omegas are NOT ordinary humans even if in the outside they look like one. They had these supernatural characteristics akin to animals. On the other hand, beta and the usual human that is closer to us real humans. They are NOT a part of omega-beta link. They do not have the ability to respond to the biting ritual of alpha and omega. Their bodies and brain do not get affected with scents and pheromones like how the alpha and omega do so they cannot understand the difficulties. THEY ARE NORMAL. They are similar to the monkey race in sex pistols. So obviously, the answer to your question is, if a beta bites an omega, it will fade. if an alpha bites an omega, it will fade.

not really. i feel more pity for the omega. they got the shortest end of the stick. for the betas, they can live ordinary lives and be happy with that but omega can never be happy in an omegaverse society unless the people around him are understanding. kind of like the terrible life of the lgbtq people in our real world.
they are definitely not poor because they won't suffer when there's heat like alphas or estrus like omega. more like, it's lucky more lucky to be a beta since you won't get randomly raped somewhere.
I understand what you are trying to say and even I think omegas have the baddest life they really don't deserve. I think I didn't make my self clear when I said "poor betas". I'm not basing it on the general context of the whole alpha-beta-omega thingy. I'm just particularly pointing out to when betas fell in love with an alpha or an omega since in this case, they have the shortest end of the stick. They can't do anything about the bond thing between alphas and omegas as they cannot do that themselves. It seems they don't have the ability nor the right. But well, with regards to what their roles, yeah, betas do live a pretty normal life from the rest.
yeah, if we're going to put it in that context. they don't have anything special in compare to the alphas and omega. normally betas marry each other tho, but there's the little percentage who are unlucky to fall inlove with an alpha or omega.

TBH, i'm kind of feeling the same way too AT FIRST but when i saw how it's super painful for miyauchi from destiny, it kind of discouraged me to wish for a beta to love a seme/uke. jirou x miyauchi is enough. no more.
