
I've seen this in other chinese manhua too, a lot of the manhua cram in a heck load of the plot in just a chapter, so much so that it looks like we're reading a recap version. Why is that? How come a lot of chinese manhua are like this? Is there a reason why they're like that?

It's just the introduction to the real story, a lot of Chinese novels start out like this. What would take others a while, those authors are just like: 'Ah yes they reincarnated, everyone knows this trope by now so I won't explain it anymore, let's start the real story from here' and after that the pacing is way more normal.
This is so nice. I didn't expect it to go so smooth. I thought the drama would hit just when he's at his happiest. I'm so glad it didn't.
