SHORT (3 chapters)
This was a super quick read but I’m not mad about it at all. Middle school unrequited love —> meet as adults and realize they both thought it was unrequited. One of them is a half mermaid and vaporizes when it’s too hot and often left the other. I liked the concept of how the author took the feeling of wanting to disappear when talking to your crush and made it a reality for the characters. The whole thing was a nice refreshment from everything else I’ve been reading.

To be honest, this story was..subpar. It was fast paced mixed with human experimentation and sacrifice which I hate so this whole story rubs me wrong. Kudos to the author for somehow managing to write this trope without any rape or sa. I only read it because it’s in a butt ton of lists but I was disappointed when it came to possessiveness and confinement. I thought it would be like big apple.
There’s nothing too special about this story. As much as it was boring me the only thing of note is the ending. An ending really can make or break a story and the ending saved its ass big time.

This was mildly interesting at first but the constant lack of communication and the mc still calling the ml his slave even 30 chapters in threw me off
