You know, aside from the HEAVY rape in this book, it was really good in the beginning, some parts were a bit hit or miss but nevertheless I enjoyed it. Until before the whole time skip.
It was absolutely garbage, first off his brother was just tragically removed right as he woke up and I felt like that was all so pointless??? Not to mention that Gramps was supposed to be "renowned" and just up and died so fucking easily??? Like instead of removing his foot breaking the chain would have made so much more sense??? If he taught MC to literally like LITERALLY uproot a whole ass tree what tf is a chain around his foot gonna fucking do???? Dude was supposed to be like "WHOA he was in this secret military shit during WWII" and he just fucking up and died??????? I understand Uruma freezing while confronting his biggest demon, but literally gramps?????? Author is just taking shit out if their ass cause they wanted this to be longer, it could have been appropriately paced and very satisfying and sweet, but nah.
NOT TO MENTION LITERALLY KYOU. Who tf is this bitch?? He literally has the biggest fucking hard on for Uruma like??? He makes 0 fucking sense it's one thing to be a literal psychopath and it's another to be edging yourself to this shit okay?? It was good, it had potential, author is really fucking weird with all this rape shit, it got to the point I was like skimming over it.
Also, I feel like it was a crime against Uruma's character to turn him into a killer and murder the cop, honestly, like the whole point was to kill those who deserved it, the revenge. But the cop? He literally did nothing and even while witnessing the horror of Uruma and the dead body he still felt nothing but empathy and pity for the boy, wishing he could have saved him, that if he did more Uruma may have not become this way. I just feel like that was spitting on Uruma as a whole tbh, I understand that he couldn't have witnesses and shit like that, but that just gave me a sour taste in my mouth.
Though on a positive note, the art did improve a lot!

Boi if mc had that gun from gramp i guarantee the manga wouldn't have a hundred chaps ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ and IMO the amount of sa that went into is disgusting LIKE REALLY and idk wat that femboy psycho is even for like this guy making mc suffer is his/her life goal!(Gross:/) (smh)and at this point I'ma assume any and every female character around mc gunna.end up graped and killed for that shock factor
Side note i don't think author knows how to write a single female character that be around mc (tch)

I agree wholeheartedly, I feel like it's just a cheap way for the author to show how bad and evil the villains are. It's just weird how detailed and long some of them are, I don't think it's warranted at all or even needed, you can already tell how selfish and sick in the head they all are and I feel like that's something better to lean into instead of raping nearly every girl in the book.

I swear to God I saw someone on here write like a whole ass essay in these comments on why Jaekyun was gross for DRINKING MILK???? LIKE THEY WERE SO DAMN BOTHERED BY MILK DRINKING THEY EVEN CALLED HIM A MILK PERVET IM SORRY I WAS LAUGHING SO HARD I WAS SOBBING.
OUT OF EVERY COMPLAINT I'VE READ ABOUT THAT MAN HIM DRINKING MILK WAS THE LAST THING I'D EXPECT

LMAO I'm glad you liked it pal, that was me, but you know what I mean, milk has deep symbolism in literature and cinematography... but just like I had to delete that whole ass essay because of some lay people who wouldn't have the intelligence to understand what I was saying, I give you some advice pal, don't try to analyze Jinx here, people will misunderstand you, ok?

Although I don't doubt that there might be some deeper symbolism behind Jeakyung drinking milk, could it not be that he's drinking it because it's high in protein and calories, allowing him to be in good shape? I know plenty of gym bros who drink milk to bulk up. I'm sure Mr. MMA fighter is no different.

Did you all literally begin reading the flash back to the past not expecting something like this??? Like you all already knew they're fucking, and not once did none of you put two and two together when you saw him as a child. Please omfg, clearly this was the route of the story smh.

That's reasonable lol I suggest you gloss over or turn your braincells off for this arc if you still want to continue reading this. Sometimes we just need to let the author cook and eat it even if it's not within our taste. That is if you think the dessert at the end would be worth it lmaoo
But as a peace offering for your mind, I suggest you read Our Sunny Days if you haven't . It's cute, it's fluffy but it's slice of life so just pure serotonin booster ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Cause the transition was so out of the blue, like Sir has been raising him as a child for 10 years, then transitioned from child to teen to adult in a span of few days lol. Author could've made them fall in love/introduced sexual tension if Hyo-un have been atleast be an adult with some other adult human interaction aside from Sir, instead of straight up just jumping to sex(?). That's why I kinda don't like this chapter 'cause its moving a bit fast.

Idk man but if you draw the line at 10 rather than 5 it's literally the same, once the flash back happened and you saw him as a child you shouldn't have stuck around already, once they met and he looked like a kid you should have ditched. The fact that so many people insult the author over fucking pixels is hilarious to me. Is it icky? Hell yeah. Was it also expected? Oh for sure. Does the author deserve people saying things to them over a stupid story full of sex? No??? Wtf

Oh no, you see you make absolutely so much sense but you all are forgetting that this is literally a book full of smut. There were times where three chapters were just sex. This story isn't heavily about plot and what sounds the best, yaoi has always been about what gets the two mcs fucking faster. And clearly it's prevalent because it sells well.

Yeah, but the story could have been so much better, present timeline (of what we've seen so far) has revolved heavily around sex, would have been nice to get some okay storytelling from the background to lay the foundation of what's currently happening with Hyo-un/Taehyuk in the present.
I'll just gloss over the next few chapters lmao since I'm too invested in the actual story now

Did you not read how he also told off hyo-un multiple times but like It's so obvious from the beginning they will be together as he is his marked mate. Also, hyo-un is not human and never was, he merely took form of the human kid which he never was supposed to do in the first place. He grow adult form because he wanted to as the deer said. What he wants shall be. Idk man it's obvious and the plot isn't gonna stop at this point
so like what do you suggest report the Author for promotion of grooming or something or cancel them we're already somewhat not doing them a favor by reading illegally anyway lol

It's not that people didn't know these two characters were going to be sexually intimate in their past lives -- that was obvious. It's just that there was a good story here beyond just smut, and it took a weird direction that the author will have to do a miracle slam dunk to pull off without being out of character for Taehyuk.
Gonna paste what I said before: For me, even if it’s just fiction, a good romance story should be able to convince me that a relationship can still happen despite the odds. I can read taboo smut just fine but if the story is actually trying to have plot and character development, and it introduces complications like “one character has essentially raised the other character who has now declared love for them”, I need to be able to be won over by the storytelling on how this will be resolved in a way that isn’t out of character for anybody. This manhwa has set up a situation where the uke fucking the seme as they are now would be bad character development, unless it’ll be able to somehow do a miracle shot of writing it believably.

Don't mean to be that person but what you consider good isn't universal. The author likes what they like and no one can say anything about it in fictitious written format. As stated I found it icky too, but I expected it. Not everyone is gifted in story telling and they for sure can write a plot they pulled out of their ass if they wanted to. Story telling isn't to appease the public, it's to write a story the author wanted whether we like it or not.

I think you misunderstood my point — I won’t mind if they still end up together as long as it’s well-written. That’s going to be very hard to do believably because of the current state of these two characters, but not impossible. And that’s the hurdle the author has to go over.
And sorry but I don’t believe that just because an author can write what they want, that means they’ll be free from the opinions of their audience. Readers are just as free to voice their thoughts on a work, on commenting if the execution is as effective as the author’s intent, just as much as professional writers are free to write the story they want. That’s how literature has always worked.

Did I say this manhwa was bad? I didn’t — I even like this manhwa, and I explicitly said that I don’t mind if the characters still end up together as long as it’s well written.
Do you go around Goodreads berating every 1 star review of a novel telling them they’re ruining the series for everyone else because they had a negative opinion on a work?

I mean, there are 1 star equivalents on this site. Spamming the comments with "I don't like this" isn't that. This is an open forum where people can tell you your opinion is crap and you're full of it. C: Don't like it? Stay out of the comments. What's weird for you is another person's normal. What you can't overlook, other people can. No one's hurting anyone, so maybe move along to something more productive?

I think it’s fine if you disagree with the opinions of others, that’s precisely the point — we should be free to talk about what we think of a work or what other people think of a work. You’re correct, what’s good for me is not the same as what’s good for you, and so we’re free to say if we think the development this story is heading towards is good or bad.

And I just want to add that actually there is a difference between unsavory themes and bad writing. The existence of taboo topics doesn’t make a work bad —I think both of us agree on this. Bad writing is really the writer’s failure to successfully execute their ideas in their writing. Right now neither of us knows if the author will successfully pull off the relationship in their work, and I genuinely hope they do because I do like this series.

lol I agreed with you — people can react to the opinions of others. And you can’t tell people what to do on the forums of mangago — people will write what they think of a work if they want to. You’re completely free to react to that reaction. But you should leave mangago if what you want is a website where all opinions of all people on a work is the same.

So I don't see him taking care of a god and being chosen as a "reward" as a taboo. In some cultures, the mere existence of gay stuff is taboo. This is another thing that is largely subjective based on a person's culture and their understanding. When speaking in a vacuum, I do agree that poor writing can put a damper on a story. I don't consider the writing in this one poor, but one of the other comics I'm reading introduced a concept that wasn't well thought out. I'm still reading it 'cause I like the overall concept and the story is fine otherwise, but it did really take me out of the story when it happened.

"Do you go around Goodreads berating every 1 star review of a novel telling them they’re ruining the series for everyone else because they had a negative opinion on a work?"
isn't agreeing with what I was saying, though.
People are free to interact as they please. This isn't Goodreads. This is a forum site. Forum sites are typically for conversation and they think your point is annoying and unfair. It's super simple. If Goodreads is a site where you can put out your opinion into an echo chamber, why not just never leave Goodreads?

I agree with you that people are allowed to feel however they want about a work and are allowed to comment on the reactions of others about their work. I only said “Do you go around Goodreads berating every 1 star review of a novel telling them they’re ruining the series for everyone else because they had a negative opinion on a work?” as a response to your opinion that the people that dislike this manhwa and leaving a comment about it is ruining the series for everyone else.
Also clearly you haven’t been in Goodreads because it’s also an open forum and people have expressed their opinions on other people’s 1 star review. The environment is very much the same — the only difference is an opinion thread there starts with a star while threads here have their stars separate but the poster can still leave their thoughts on a work.
Guys I genuinely don't like the dicks in this, like normally I don't care about them, but I'm actually so disturbed by them I'm begging for them to be censored again.
