How long is this pattern gonna repeat itself for? I don't really get why Siwoon is there with them in all of that, watching them. I'd be holed up in my room... Ah, ok maybe that's a bad example, because I'd been long out of there already, after having beaten up the chinese guy. But still, even if I couldn't do that, I sure wouldn't follow them around only so that I could get even angrier at them.
This really is a fun read! The humour is on point, and also very critical to the series' success.
It also looks great. I'm amazed by how the backgrounds flows in the same style so smoothly together with the main focus. It feels like the author has put in a lot of effort.
The characters are pretty good, although I'd say that the humour saves some of them big time. With the big cast I think that some twists relationship-wise would be fitting. I was kind of hoping that the teacher and the, uh, brat would wind up together eventually, lol. But I guess it'd be fine with the current "line up", too.
It's refreshing to actually see a heterosexual relationship bloom in these kinds of stories, too, and with a girl that is given a decent amount of spotlight.
Likewise is it refreshing that there are different settings for a group of people currently at different stages in life.
I liked the major parts of this story, and the set-up. I could relate to and really appreciated the feeling of the flashbacks. Although I'm a little confused as to why they never quite managed to hit it off back then. And while I also think it may have been somewhat of an unrealistic move from the author to have them cling on to those feelings afterwards for all those years (without putting much emphasis on that fact itself), it mostly just feels like a shame, you know? That they missed out on that good teenage fluff.
Overall it was a good read, but it got a little dragged out towards the end. I kind of felt like the important parts were settled already, and it didn't quite click with me how Tora kept stubbornly getting surprised by every affectionate action from Tetsuya.
I have no idea what's going on. Cain is neither likeable, interesting or good looking. His design is really messy, and the same goes for his buddy.
What's most annoying though is that, forget as to why they are doing something, WHAT are they even doing in the first place? There's just nothing to grasp at here. Sure, it's just 4 chapters in and you don't have to know the motive behind major actions, but this is just all over the place. The mc is confused as hell, and the same goes for me.
I wonder what was the cause for the event in that dream, and why it has been instilled as such a bad memory for He Tian. He obviously survived himself, and so did his brother. Maybe he initially thought that his brother had died? I don't know why he didn't just jump in together with him in the first place, he probably had some unfinished business, but it was only a matter of seconds (that couldn't possibly have been calculated either, btw, you never know when something like that is going to blow) before it did in fact blow. My guess is that he went back to save a comrade, as well (mayby that mc guy?), but I must say that I'm not really a fan of how calm he appears as the situation was seemingly quite desperate.
Still, pretty exciting development here.
When you finally actually get some progression with the story, more drama is brought in immediately again. It's not bringing the good kind of tension, it's mostly just annoying.
I know that to redeem this whole kidnap shit things can't be resolved thaaat easily, but I just get the feeling that things will drag out for way too long again now.
