The guy's probably a manipulative ass because he had a firsthand experience to seeing how far that gets you from the stepfather. I don't blame him, and it kind of makes his character more interesting.
Lay the blame where it's due: he was a manipulative ass right from the moment he first met and decided to "date" the old man for his money... He just didn't know the old man would turn out to be another manipulator himself.
Okay, I remember reading Ch.1 a while back. I stopped when the twins kissed while doing Towa. I then reread it now, and believed it was okay. I thought that I misjudged, but I didn't. I really didn't like the thought of an incest threesome. Now, I have come to dislike biological incest, and adding the fact they had a sexual relationship long before, disgusted me. The scene where Towa caught them was really upsetting. I'm fine with threeway couples most of the time, but I can't stand ones where the lovers knowingly don't include another.
A poly relationship is all about loving each other equally and being inclusive. Just two going off on their own behind the other's back doesn't sound right. At least talk to them first!
