These are spoilers about the big plotwist of the novel I think
Soooo... I went looking for some spoilers and apparently that Grace girl was the original FL (she IS the real Sellonia) but she didn't want to go on the trip to subjugate the demon king because it was a rough trip (she didn't want to sleep outside and be cold and all that) basically she was a whiny b*tch, so she and her dad (yes, the dad is in on it) sacrificed a bunch of people to perform a dark magic ritual to exchange bodies, and so it happened that a random soul from Korea was brought to Sellonia's body (our current FL) and the original FL Sellonia (now Grace) took over a poor random extra girl's body (original Grace).
And then our FL went on the trip, came back, Grace must have done something to put her in a coma and used dark magic on the 3 romantic interests. Now, Grace (original Sellonia) and her father (Sellonia's father) are again killing a bunch of people to sacrifice them to perform the ritual to regain Sellonia's original body.
Correct me if I got anything wrong :)!
So this is what Grave meant by they're more similar to each other than she thinks.
It's a twist but isn't it still pretty dumb tho? That's a lot of blood and effort just to not go on a quest-type mission. Why not send a body double, another healer, just show your face to the people and skedaddle home? If they got dark magic they can also just use dark magic on the 3 fishes and make them ok with it.
To be fair I'm pretty sure current Grace is actually pretty dumb lol. Also, I'm not too sure but I think I read in the spoilers also that she has a book with the plot of the story so I guess she wanted to follow it exactly as it said but decided to go to extreme (and stupid) lenghts just to not go on the quest herself
I didn't like that MC didn't end up with Tatekawa and I was so desperate to find out if there was an extra or sum with him so I went to japanese forums to translate reviews and like not even the japanese readers know what happened with Tatekawa and many were also disappointed, so it seems like there is no happy ending for Tatekawa. It does seem like there is an extra but from what I understood from broken japanese to english review translations it's about the clone being jealous or something like that(?) Hopefully I'm wrong and it's back to Tatekawa tho lol
I feel like it was a lose lose situation, if the uke stayed with the og then it’d feel like the une thinks of them as the same person rather than two individuals with different stories and feelings. And by staying with the clone, and it feels like the og’s efforts were kinda for nothing. All that fighting to save the une just to disappear (sorry for using terms instead of names I’m really bad at memorising names lol)
I mean his goal was to get defeat him before he realized it was Tatekawa so he still did what he set out to do.
I like that Yan remained but I don’t think the author went about it the best way. Tatekawa seemed at peace and I would assume he knew that Souma truly loved Yan so he let him stay with Yan instead. I just wish it was conveyed better.
I just feel so bad that the dude spent his life savings in the research, risked his live for the chance to travel to that world, realized he was centuries early, got posessed by darkness, spent centuries posessed, got the lay that got away and then got Thanos'ed out of existence, like, damn bro
sorry, I laughed at Thanos' reference. it might be better if they really talk and it makes sense that clone will back or maybe like Scarlett witch in the last Dr. Strange movie, at least we know where he is, or he became one with all of his clones (I really thought all the clones became one Tatekawa)
Not only that, he only got to clap them cheeks once
Ok but seriously, I feel like this would’ve been more emotional if it happened in the span of oh idk more than 1chp ?
