I want to get my thoughts out about this story, it was a really interesting story, and this is gonna be a long ass rant.
I actually really like this manhwa, its not the usual omegaverse story. It shows how sometimes not all human relationships are sunshine and rainbows where everything is smoothed out by sex.
Both Jihan and Jaeun are sort of messed up in the head.
The problem started with the father. Fuel to trauma. Jihan was abused, Jaeun was ostracized and not seen as a person. The father helped brought out the bad and toxic qualities of the both of them.
These qualities might not have shown so strongly if it wasn't for him. They would have just stayed as a potential. Maybe it'd bleed out but only a bit, not to this extent.
I don't really feel that sorry for Siwan, he knows Jaeun is with Jihan yet he still pursued him. Abandoning Jaeun when he needed him the most. Fortunately Jihan was there for him. Silently and patiently caring for him. Jaeun really appreciates that.
As for Jihann yes he is very obsessed. His mother even said so, that he can get dark, but she's happy that Jaeun is there to balance it out. But hey, Jaeun is actually lowkey obsessed too. He's very dependant on Jihan.
But things went well and they became lovers. Both of them were doing fine, Jihan's dark side didn't rear its head. His possessiveness only showed in the form of a boyfriend doting on his lover too much or jealousy here and there. But he could keep his darkness at bay.
Then the fated alpha came into the picture. An alpha that could snatch up and influence his lover away. He's a beta, how can he compete with a fated mate??? Understandably he's worried, he's scared. And with this ugly toxicity came out.
Siwan too, was quite persistent. Like dude Siwan back off, he might be your fated one but he's in a committed relationship, and you KNOW this. Don't ruin their happiness.
I love how Jihan is resisting the pull to Siwan though. He might have inner conflicts due to weird coincidences and situations that happened. But I'd say he did a good job fending himself.
Biology took its course of anyways, attracting Siwan and Jaeun to each other. Like when Jaeun came to help Van. What if Jihan didn't call him? He would have been forcibly marked and end up stuck in a relationship he doesn't want. Oh and of course Jaeun would go even more batshit crazy and just fully embraces the dark side.
Shit still happened and Jihan did the oopsie. BUT then realized what he did was wrong when he overheard Jaeun. This is my favorite part, he actually acknowledges he's crazy toxic and its hurting the both of them. He knows he messed up real bad, and left to protect his lover from himself. Staying there would make things worse he'd lose himself.
That didn't work out though. Again, Jaeun is also obsessed and very much in love with him. So he became dependant to the next best thing, Siwan. Thankfully this time Siwan understands that even if Jihan is gone Jaeun won't be happy with him.
Good on him for getting his shit together.
And then finally the ending. That one year separation did good on them. Cooled them off, let them heal a little, let them think a bit more rationally about their relationship. And everything turned out well. I'm pleased with the ending.
Well that was a super long rant/review, really liked the story. Hoping for more side stories tho

An excellent and well thought out review that respects the characters and the efforts of the author.
To be very honest I was confused for most of this manga because two couples looked almost similar. And at chapter 7 where the mangaka listed all the couples and the characters was where I could kind of make sense of things. Turns out there were three couples who looks similar to each other. And that Yahiko is Sado's bodyguard??? Am still very confused though
