qiu yu's ex comes back briefly to try to pursue him again but he's just a brief annoyance and if anything the pair just get stronger. meanwhile, older brother nearly dies trying to keep qiu yu's secret about his having a boyfriend lmao. so older bro's son has a birthday and they're celebrating with the folks – qiu yu tells older bro to make him an excuse about him having to urgently fix his phone (which he spoiled earlier) while he goes off gallivanting with yi chen. but as he was going up, dad actually spotted his son with yichen in the car driving off. yichen and qiuyu have their date, with qiu yu in a silver haired wig and a whole new get up – there's some kissing contest thing and the two kiss, and the kiss is broadcast on national TV. mom happens to be watching and immediately recognises fu yichen and thinks the other dude looks uncannily familiar – dad is like "nah" to the mom, but he suspects and goes to his son's house. yichen is in like this fox animal getup lmao (they were drinking the previous night) and slept over at qiu yu's house – and that' how the dad finds them lmao.
yeah dad doesn't disapprove, doesn't approve either, but transfers qiu yu into a different division in the company so he's in a less public role. dad only says not to let mom know, so as not to trigger her health – he actively helps them avoid mom as well.
in the meantime, big bro and secretary (orange haired guy) get together. they're hilarious too. yi chen and qiu yu go pretty strong, move in together, and yi chen kind of proposes to qiu yu (more in a promise ring sense). there's some drama with yi chen's ex – the one he almost left college for – qiu yu realises there's an uncanny similarity in appearance between yichen's ex and himself, and concludes yichen must have chased him because of this similarity and they have a massive row about it. yichen's ex has apparently dyed his hair silver – the same color of qiu yu's wig when they were broadcasted kissing on tv – and qiu yu thinks yi chen put that wig on him to make him look like his ex instead. the ex also shows up and tries to get yichen back but he's not having it. qiu yu and yi chen resolve their misunderstanding quite quickly so the drama's been put behind both of them. unfortunately, it seems the ex has more up his sleeve? this arc hasn't quite concluded yet so we'll see how it goes!
Again, people taking the novel spoilers and plot points completely out of context here. Like, for the last time google translating things in sections is completely INACCURATE.

In short, the puppy seme's younger brother was in an accident and went into a coma, he ran into a wizard, who makes him a deal – for each moment he spends as a dog, his brother will have that life added unto him. I've posted before about this without spoiling, and it physically HURTs me that people are giving out wrong spoilers based off some google translate thing they didn't even bother to cross reference. A lot of spoilers are out of context of the whole story and omits SO MUCH so i'm going to explain it as best as I can, referring to my previous post. These spoilers are coming from the novel version btw, and whether or not JAXX choses to adapt them will be another issue altogether. But anyway, here goes.
There are several major factors and characters I shall address.
1. Ryan (Blonde dude from earlier in the series)
He has a much bigger role in the books than in the webtoon thus far, but idk how big his role might be ahead because he has a major role to play in the latter half of the series. As far as I know, he is NOT a love rival or anything of that sort. There has never been and isn't going to be anything romantic between him and McQueen at all. He harbours certain hatred McQueen for reasons, blames him for a lot of his ongoing issues and he has a lot . He has a son, with a prostitute and he also seems to have drug issues and is generally pretty messed up. In the novels, he and Ed live together, and McQueen and Ed have meals with Ryan and his son Cecil, even helping to take care of his son because Ryan isn't really the best parent.
He is actually the main reason why Ed and McQueen break up. But more on that in a bit.
2. Ed and McQueen
In the books McQueen is seen doing a lot more porn that in the webtoon to begin with; here he seems like he does more of the background work like directing etc. But in any case, novel McQueen and Ed BOTH continue to film porn with other partners, although Ed only ever bottoms for McQueen after. In the novels, there's no confession at the train station. They get together, but there's no actual verbalisation of the "I love you"s till much later. So although they're making porn with other people, they're also not exclusively together in the books at this point. I believe McQueen initially hoped to kind of do couples porn with Ed, but at some point after they do both stop doing porn anyway. But in any case, obviously the webtoon should differ from that.
Third parties are never a major major issue in the books for our main pair. They do love each other, although it takes a much longer time for McQueen to verbalise it there. Yes there is a 'love triangle' of sorts with Chang, but the feelings of the main pair never wavers for each other, although circumstances in the later parts do drive a wedge between them. The McEd pairing is actually quite fluffy in the books as well.
A major plot point in the novels. revolves around McQueen's writing of the movie's script. A journalist basically finds out that McQueen is the director of that movie, and it makes the news. Its huge news, and it goes on broadcast that a pornstar directed a religious movie. The website is being overloaded by views – and the site Ed's audition film with McQueen (for a DVD) is on there. The next day he goes to work, its obvious that all his coworkers know about his doing porn. Ed is asked to resign from his job as a security officer due to security reasons.
Upset, Ed then tries to contact McQueen, but he is unable to call through to him. This is because McQueen was being hounded by journalists at the time and he explains it to Ed. They then talk about plans for the future, like going on a cruise and stuff. Ed gets a little drunk, and confesses he watched a porno with McQueen and Ryan. More context on this is that Ryan and McQueen did something like a 'non-consensual' kink play? It's not actually non-consensual and its not rape for sure, but Ryan apparently has a history of sexual assault prior and told Ed before that McQueen exploits vulnerable men for money i.e. something like he basically did the shoot because he was in a vulnerable position (drug issues money issues etc.). Ed watched the porno, and then tell McQueen he agrees with Ryan that what happened was rape. McQueen is livid to think that Ed could think something like that of him, and says something along the lines of "I can't believe I was falling in love with you". They break up and don't contact each other for weeks after that.
Ed gets a job at the airport, but its not very stable. Prior to this, Ed had already stopped doing porn was also working for Chang doing some security, but he stopped that too after the porn reveal and hasn't contacted Chang since.
Lancer contacts Ed who is now in high demand because of the porn reveal, and asks him to do escort/prostitution work with him (He gave him an Escort card way earlier in the novels I think as an invitation already). Ed wonders if McQueen will find out, and then decides that he "doesn't care" and so on New Years Day, Lancer tells him that he's got this client and that Lancer raised the price on him (because of his high demand); Ed doesn't know who he is, but he turns up anyway. The client is Chang.
3. Chang
Chang hasn't met Ed since the porn reveal, New Years Day is the first time they're meeting after the reveal. Chang doesn't believe at first that Ed actually came, and Ed tries to walk away after realising its Chang. But Chang physically grabs him and tells him he paid for him, showing him the escort card he took from Ed's apartment (given by Lancer earlier). Chang offers to make Ed's debt disappear – if he stays beside him for a year. Ed considers and then refuses thinking this guy is the one who even ruined his life by saddling him with this debt in the first place. They argue, Chang makes jibes about Ed doing sex work and Ed, fed up, asks him if he wants to be fucked. Ed pulls down Chang's zipper to prove a point.
Then Chang pushes Ed onto the bed and starts getting physical with him. At several points, Ed says it hurts, and that he wants it to stop. Chang mocks him, bites him, and continues anyway. Ed tries to punch him to get away from him, saying he's changed his mind and telling him to stop. He grabs his clothes and tries to escape several times but fails. Chang r*pes Ed. In this interim, Ed realises that Chang has had feelings for him all along, and that he's just been trying to ignore it the whole time; after the deed is done, he asks Chang if he likes him – and Chang doesn't confirm or deny it. Ed tells him it doesn't matter because Chang is dead to him anyway, and tells Chang he wants to ruin him, like Chang ruined Ed.
He walks out (Chang is still there), to run into McQueen – Ed wondered previously if McQueen was going to find out about him doing escort/prostitution work so he clearly did – McQueen tells Ed he didn't want to break up with Ed in the first place, tells him that he loves him, and that he wants to get back together. Ed wants to say yes, but he just had sex with (was raped by) Chang, so he doesn't respond, just leaves both men without saying anything. McQueen and Chang fight, and Ed sees McQueen again the next day; McQueen tells him he doesn't care about the whole Chang thing, and they get back together.
McQueen tells him he's quitting porn for him and selling the company, and tells Ed to check his bank account – $500,000, which is the amount he owes Chang. Chang actually confesses his feelings to Ed after this, and Ed tells him he doesn't care and to check his bank account, that's his answer. Essentially he pays off his debt, and from there he's saying that they no longer will have any ties to each other.

So essentially I wanted to clarify a few things.
Ed didn't lose his bodyguard job because of McQueen but the journalist actually, and McQueen didn't abandon him because of the reveal at all. He had a huge debt to Chang – but McQueen didn't pay it off probably because $500,000 is kind of not pocket change?? He sold his company and paid off Ed's debts. McQueen is not the cause of Ed doing escorting; that's Ed's choice. Their break up was NOT caused by Ed not wanting to do an adult movie with McQueen.
McQueen and Ed's relationship is complex, and ultimately human. They make mistakes and there's miscommunication and there's arguments of course, but there's also reasons why certain things unfold the way they do. The novels are way longer than the webtoons, and lots of things have been and will be taken out. So bear in mind that too.
I hope this helped in some way and if anyone else is going to bullshit about the 'spoiler' without knowing what they're talking about again i'm going to hit the roof.

It’s been almost a year since I read it so I don’t rmb the details that well. But yes the plot arc more or less ends after the last bit where McQueen sells his company. I think at some point they meet with Chang during this time period, and Ed pays off his debt to him but I don’t recall the details of it beyond that. They also go to meet Ed’s friend Derek (his coworker at the security company) later, where they sort of tell him about their relationship, and Derek is uncomfortable with the idea of Ed bottoming. They talk and Derek eventually sort of accepts it after Ed says that he just wants to be happy. Then Ed and McQueen have sex after that and I think it involved an enema? I also have some vague recollection of Ed having some residual trauma after the whole Chang situation, although I don’t recall the exact details (or if it didn’t happen and my mind is recalling this wrong).
There’s an extra section in between that’s written in mcqueen’s POV. From there we learn that after their initial shoot together, McQueen was sort of bothered and he also tried to get Lancer not to do Ed’s next shoot, and also that McQueen started having feelings for Ed pretty early on (I think when Ed when to get the DVD from him early on)
I can’t remember the details that well though, and sorry if some of the order of this is mixed up!

Ppl blame Creed that he only cast ppl with life problems. They really talk like prostitution is a job ppl who are living okay would rationally consider. No, these ppl couldn't find a job and Creed was there to offer them a solution. Fking grown ups don't get to blame ppl for options that weren't shoved to their face. Creed never threatened people, he just made the offer.
Yes yes yes, I completely agree with you that this plot is so humane. Like all of them made mistakes, neither Ed nor Creed were saints. They said some mean things. They walked away. They knew they made the wrong choices and reconciled after coming to terms about each other's setbacks and mistakes. Then they finally fell in love properly again and just learn to live with whatever has happened.

Not sure what will make it into the webtoon since s1 actually omitted quite some stuff but i had a friend who read the novel give me a low down on what happened so i'll try to address some of the questions without spoiling too much of the plot.

Also in the novel, a major plot point (which I think will also be adapted in the webtoon imo it's too big a plot point to leave out), revolves around McQueen's writing of the movie's script. If you look back on one of the later few chapters of S1, there's a particular line which McQueen says which greatly foreshadows the events that happen later. Those events which come to play puts a major strain on Ed and his life in general.
3. Chang
In the novels there's more Chang in the latter half. He does something despicable to Ed in the novels, for which a trigger warning must be raised. Some people might be able to excuse such an action in like 'yaoi world', even in the novels its a little grey, but at least on my end it seemed pretty clear that it's unacceptable. Not sure if the Jaxx the artist will adapt that part of the novel. I don't think it necessarily adds to the story? But we'll see I guess. There was also some flying fists going around between McQueen and Chang. We also get more backstory regarding Ed and Chang and how they came to be this way.

Bear in mind the novels are generally much longer than the webtoons. There's 4 novels in total, the train station scene is about at the end of book 2? i think? And omits quite a bit of stuff. The next season should also be similar in that it should leave out a lot of stuff that's in the novels. I don't know if there will be a third season for the webtoon. I would like there to be, in all honesty the story really does feel like it NEEDS a 3rd season to be done justice. But it will depend on Jaxx and how she decides to go with it.
Season 2 will begin in July, which is fairly soon enough. So, until then.

Yep, to me what Chang does to Ed is unacceptable as well. It’s clear where Ed stands. Ed and McQueen will have a little tension for a while but their love is strong and will conquer. The story really is beautifully written and I’m shock for such a theme as porn to be having a decent plot and background on characters. Love that you summarized the gist of what’s about to happen.

reading the comments about chang....spoilers and book plot aside, like honest to god, there's a thousand red flags in that single scene alone.
Some of you all need real life help if you fantasize or glamorise about the way chang treats ed. this is a man who has been extorting ed for a long time now with high interests. he gives ed a job, as a way to pay of that debt that itself should not even exist. then he controls his actions, and doesn't leave him room to say no. ed is clearly uncomfortable and repulsed, but chang just doesn't let him leave. like you can like/love a person, but that's no way to treat anyone at all. if this was a real life relationship this would be a big fat red flag flying at your face to get the hell away from him.
honestly people here who are just saying chang is "so hot" and "totally your type", and WORSE, if you've seen the spoilers about him and saying yeah whatever he does is fine – meanwhile, these same people go on to condemn mcqueen, who has been a perfect gentleman thus far because he said he's going to continue doing porn, HIS JOB, and after he actually tells Ed about it as well so both of them are on the same page.
I keep seeing PAGE upon PAGE of people shitting on mcqueen while Chang gets a free pass from what's seeming like 90% of the people in the comments because you think he's HOT?? Like whatever happens in the future, just based on Chang's current behavior alone – even if he LIKES ed – the sheer fact that he's holding his debt over Ed's head, Ed who is supposed to have been his 'friend', should not be equated to whatever Mcqueen has done.
