Let's give the author some breathing space? Maybe a month, or two? That the author actually approached the previous uploader means that something went really wrong...

At least before, there was a few days time between the official release, so that the author could actually profit off her work, except now to upload on the same day? It feels kind of vindictive.

also, to continue uploading chapters so soon after the 'warning' signs puts this site at risk. It will increase scrutiny on this site, and the author might spread word to others. To continue uploading Banana Scandal, at this moment, is just not a good long-term solution.

So let's take a break for a month or two, please. At least, on this manhwa.

Stop acting like she has to get together with him just because you pity him and what he went through, because you are not Jayna. You didn't watch with your own eyes, as the fiance you loved ditched you, fell for someone else, and later brought about your death. Just because Cassiel is different this life, does not mean that Jayna must forgive and forget. Regardless of the machinations that happened behind the scenes, Jayna's past still happened. Knowing that it wasn't actually Cassiel's own choice should not negate everything that Jayna had been forced to undergo.

Like, it's working with cliche concepts yet the way it's all framed and put together makes it artful? THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, WHEN I SAY "If you're gonna make it cliche, at least do it well". This manhwa knocked it out of the park!

And, these passages adapted from the novel (haven't actually read it, but the translator included passages at the end of some chapters) are absolutely gorgeous. So beautifully worded, and absolutely emotional to read.

As well, even though Jaehan is a piece of trash, somehow the way this all plays out makes me pity him too. The monologues and dialogues and looks into his head somehow make it, so that despite being frustrated with how he was dealing with his feelings with Heegyeom, it's still impossible to hate him--it's the author's (of the novel) absolute mastery of emotions. Like, wow. He's supposed to be an asshole, but I didn't come out of this with my first thought being that he is an asshole.

AND THE ART TOO!!! Wow, the art is perfect. Like, the characters aren't particularly expression savvy, yet somehow minute changes and little quirks here and there, a slightly lifted lip, barely upturned eyes, convey so much. Even when the eye is just a black blob with a dot, somehow deep emotions/expressions can still be conveyed?

makes sense why the emperor treats him well this life, given how Jins are inhumane as a whole, but he lived on and off with the MC and experienced the mundane life for eight years, along with the MC's continued life lessons and moral value preaching.

i mean, we see it in the latest chapter, the emperor himself directly admits "i didn't realize humans could die so easily" in the flashback of seeing the dead villagers from the drought. Jins can go a whole month without eating, so their own standards are vastly different from that of a humans. It probably didn't even occur to the emperor, in his past life, just how fragile humans could really be because the MC was so used to taking his abuse.

Stilll makes me wonder why the emperor was so shit last life, though, like, what he did was far beyond simple "ignorant, rough handling"... is there gonna be a plot twist? hmm

Btw, I'm not justifying the emperor or standing on his side. I don't support the MC being together with the emperor at all, and if it was me I'd be like "nah I'm moving to a diff country" or sum, but as most manhwas go, i had expected it anyways. Rule of thumb: the more often an MC says "I'll never see him again!", the more likely you know the opposite will happen.

Also, in the MC's defense, it's really hard to escape your abuser, especially when you love or have once deeply loved them. Those feelings don't just disappear into thin air, sadly. I mean in his previous life, despite everything, he'd still been willing to give up his life to save the emperor. Also, the MC doesn't particularly seem like the "strong-willed, fuck-all" type, either.
