I think y’all are being too harsh on the mc. If you think of it from Jihan’s point of view, the whole breakup between him and his ex is unresolved. He was never given an explanation for why his boyfriend all of a sudden did a 180 and pretended like they were never serious in the first place, so of course he is still gonna have this lingering towards his ex cause he wants an explanation.
Without some closure from this guy, Jihan is just gonna continue to feel insecure around him because he sees the situation as tho something was wrong with himself like he wasn’t good enough and isn’t worthy of being loved. I don’t think the ex deserves a second chance or anything but I think Jihan and him need to talk so that Jihan can finally move on from his past relationship trauma. Hence why Jihan is in the guy’s car currently trying to get an explanation and some closure.

In my defense I don’t remember that he never got proper closure (due to reading bunch of other stories), so it makes sense he followed.
