Now THAT folks is what I call character development. Within the first ten chapters, I nearly dropped this comic. Everyone seemed so obnoxious (especially the MC), and the over-the-top, soap-opera drama was almost laughable. However the storyline itself was incredibly well developed that I decided to keep reading. I’m impressed how many characters there were and how each one had a real personality. Sometimes authors can erase the humanness of side characters, but there was no trace of that in this comic. I felt my heart pound at the tear-filled scenes, I even said “NO!!” Out loud when the picture was revealed, and I was exhausted along with Berry when Darin confessed for the one millionth time. This story was an incredibly well written roller coaster and I’m so glad I just got to go along for the ride!!!
I love skip beat as much as the next big hearted, shoujo fangirl— dont get me wrong. It’s just that, has anyone noticed with this chapter that the author looks like they’re loosing passion for the comic? I know art styles change and shit but it just seems like this most recent chapter was done in such a lackluster manner that he story didn’t grip my heart like it usually does. This feels like it’s been going on for the past few chapters as well? I know that drawing manga isn’t easy, and I have no idea what’s going on in the mangaka’s life, but I really hope she isn’t losing passion for this project since she’s already dedicated so much time to it.

i can not confirm this but i heard her health has not been the best lately. on the other hand i always get a similar feeling when she starts a new arc especially since the last one answered a lot of questions.

Alright, literally what the fuck. I came here for the hot, almost reverse harem-esque plot bc you really don’t find that in shoujo like... ever. I was drawn in by the idea of a sex club and a shy girl who finds out she’s an exhibitionist, not all this emotional, borderline moral delimma bull shit. I feel like almost the entirety of the original plot (except for the fucked up incesty bits) has completely disappeared and we’re left with oddly paced suspense and literally questioning whether we should actually be enjoying the scenes between nayeon and Noah because they feel so artificial and wrong because of Noah’s traumas. I honestly don’t mind everybody sleeping with everyone else, but once it starts to get into rape and dubious consent, with literal reluctance and being uncomfortable shown on the characters face I’m a bit thrown for a loop. I’m not going to stop reading because I’m far too weak to make a resolution like that (and also, I may just be hoping the old feel of this will come back) but I will say I’m extremely confused, turned off, and all around fucked up by this manga.
