Okay so ik asking for advice on here isn’t the best but i really need a fast answer and a brief one too. I’ve been talking to this guy, I’ve talked abt him before but I’ve just been feeling that he’s getting bored of me or he’s getting tired of me :/. I talk to him almost everyday but he also texts me back everyday, we both say Good night and Good morning, but it’s usually because the conversation is still going. I noticed when we don’t text he doesn’t text me gn or gm. I was thinking if I’m really just living in a delulu life thinking I have a chance he might like me or not. He’s very sweet and caring to me, he’s also very funny, sadly we don’t go to the same school because I was put into a different one. And no we did not meet online, we’ve known each other since we were kids and we’re both 16 now. Which is a long way, but just to be clear, we stopped talking in middle school and we started talking again in freshman year. Do u guys think there can be a chance for us or should I not try and ruin the friendship and keep it how it is??? Also sorry for yapping too much

Not that anyone here would know, but if you guys are really texting that much, I think you've got a pretty good chance? I think it's redundant to always say gn/gm, too much and it becomes monotonous habit. Why not ask to meet in person and talk it out?
Imma hold your hand when I say this my heart.... I do NOT think there's a chance and even if he was and yall got tg you really want a boyfriend who don't even text you goodmorning/goodnight unless there's an ongoing convo?

1. Who usually initiates new conversations? (I noticed you said he texts you BACK)
2. How far apart do you both live?
3. Do you ever meet up in person?
4. Does he ever compliment you without you complimenting him first / without you being vulnerable abt insecurities first?
If you meet in-person once in a while, he initiates conversations, and he takes initiative to compliment you, then he might be open to being something more
I'm curious about your relationship status. His he considered you as someone who is a close friend or he also view you as a potential partner in future??

But with the information you have given so far, it feels like your the only one initiating the conversation and I think either he just doesnt feel like talking to you much (as In some people text others back because it's a courtesy) or maybe because MAYBE I MEAN since it's just friendship he is just kind of bored. But you should definitely ask him if he is looking for someone or does he even have a crush.
Sorry for the late response, I am usually the one to initiate conversations through text. If I don’t say nun he also doesn’t say anything. We live around 10 minutes from each other so yes we do meet up to skate around or sometimes bike. I wouldn’t say he does usually, but he always mentions about my eyes and my hair and even my dimples , he also says I’m very sweet when I interact with other people but idk if that’s a compliment…
He’s told me before that he never really “liked” anyone. He’s been asked out here and there but he always turns them down bc he’s not interested. We are really close I’d say if people saw us they’d think of best friends. But I’m not sure what he sees. :(
I added a few more details to the replies. He’s very confusing if I’m being honest. He sends me pictures of his day like nature bc he loves going out. Randomly sometimes he asks abt my day when I don’t ask first. If not he always lets me know that he’s busy or sometimes he answers in hours. Which is fine he got his own stuff to do, I’m not clingy like that.
As you said you both are good friend right? So maybe you can casually bring up the topic of dating. Like you can ask him, what is his type, whether he has a girlfriend or boyfriend lol.
Thank you for replying to me, but honestly with the new information you have given, I think it's safe to say you have a chance, but the thing is you need to become more close to him. Now there are alot of different ways you can find for people like that. But I feel like if you ask him out now he will definitely say he isn't interested CONSIDERING you guys don't hang out but I think in the future try asking for his schedule and ask him if he is free anytime to hang out with you.
Maybe after hanging out more you can bring up the fact that you like him, if he says he isn't interest then that's that, if he is shocked maybe try saying "atleast try to go out with me for a while and see how it goes?" Because maybe the more time you spend with him and get to know him and become more close to him maybe just maybe he will agree to date you.
