Isn't Bai Muyang super annoying? I can't stand when people sees other people's private life as a source of entertainment.
The art is good and the story had potential, but I feel like it ended being a lame excuse to just draw sex. And you know what, I FUCKING LOVE SEX, so to say I'm disappointed of how the scenario went to waste means truly something.
It's because this is a wish-fulfillment (escapist) story, where the mc finds a supernatural being who somehow is his ideal, "safest" choice for a lover, without posing any problems nor forcing him to go through any major risk-taking (the demon can't abandon him, nor out him to other humans, and he is ignorant about human homophobia). It would've been more interesting if the demon had turned out to a bit more dangerous or harmful for him, (even if just unintentionally)... As it was, he was like the greatest escapist solution to gay romantic loneliness and out-of-the-closet anxieties...
How do you achieve romantic fulfillment if there is no development? We just keep going back and forth with no reward. Or is the whole point of shounen ai to constantly "enjoy" this tension?
I think so. It's also kind of like in normal straight romance. The girl usually don't end up with the guy until like almost at the end of the story. It's more slow pace for the readers to see how the main leads stared to fall in love.
Haesoo is no where near the level of commitment Taku wants. If you're not on the same level, nor willing to get to it, then just spare yourselves.
