I hope he tells the truth instead of some lame excuse like "I hit my head on the wall" "I fell down the stairs" lol

I can't bring myself to sympathize with the FL.

I like that she's brave and cares about others well-being, but her overall "I'm Lily Elizabeth and I'm an amazing person because it's written in the book" mindset is a bit irritating... I wish she wouldn't be so fixated on the book and acted more genuine. It feels like she doesn't have a personality of her own, just your average FL who's always the perfect heroine and makes the other guys fall in love with her while also saving the day :P I wish she could be more special than that.
