The side couple was pretty hyped in the beginning but it's just their story didn't develop any depth yet so people are more focused on the revenge arc of the main couple. It's just the author wants you to focus on the main couple for now.

I don't think their couple adds anything to the story besides just seeing other guys fucking each other for free+ their relationship is honestly shitty. The only time I feel like being in the same page with JK is when I realize how much we both don't like Choi Haessung LOL He's manipulative, he doesn't like commitment but doesn't care if the person with him is on the same page or not.
