ML thinks MC is insane and mentally a child, so he can't divorce her. ML sees MC in the arms of *her brother* in what is clearly catching her after tripping. ML demands divorce after it was clearly established that he can't divorce her because she's potentially mentally vulnerable. ML kicks MC out without explanation. Because that makes sense...
Ok, I was willing to give Ijekiel, or whatever his name is, a chance. I thought he was just going to be the bland generic nice guy, but it seems he really does take after his farther. All that empty flattery was making me nauseous. He was definately looking for something and thought he could flirt his way out. Don't trust him, Athy!!!
On the flip side, Lucas getting all jealous was so sweet, I have a tooth ache. I think it's canon to say he knows she's really an adult in a child's body, perhaps can even see an overlay of her as her true age. Explain why he feels the need to jealously show off and point out how old she is when he thinks she's staying to fall for another guy. Dont know if he hates Mr White because he's suspicious or because they're both fighting over Athy. We'll see.
So Lucas clearly had to remove some dark magic from Athy, which led him to believe she had danced with someone who was trying to harm her. But the only people we saw dancing with Athy were her father, Felix (both would never hurt her), the other noble girls at the group dance, and Mr. White's son. Maybe you can count Jeanette giving back the ribbon too. So who tried to curse Athy?
It could have been Jeanette, she's an artificial child created by the previous emperor (Claude's brother) with dark magic. So she's essentially a doll or puppet, and her original purpose was to harm Claude, so what better way to bring him down than to have her (Jeannette) constantly hug and touch Claude (in the original story) and slowly fill him with that dark magic without him knowing or suspecting the girl (although he knew she wasn't his daughter).
It could also be the son (Ezekiel or something) he's the male lead, but he can also be used and manipulated to pass on dark magic or matter on to victims. He also has shifty eyes, I don't trust him (could be wrong of course)
It is certain that the black haired dude (speculations that he's actually the previous emperor and it would fit) is responsible for the dark magic, only question is through what medium is he attacking Athy.
Am I the only one worried Sangwoo is going to kill the girl who flirted with Bum? He was all smiles in polite company, but immediately went to rude when the girl said Bum was her type. And while he was openly bragging about his crimes, they seemed more directed at getting the girl to back off from his "wife." He was even openly groping Bum in front of them as he listed reasons why they wouldn't want him, as if to not only scare them off and reinforce to Bum that no one but Sangwoo will accept him, but also to reassure himself that Bum belongs to him. Then he's all like "Baby, don't pay attention to her. I'm so much better than her", straight up tells the girl to fuck off and kicks them out. he's killed for lesser offenses.
Not really. What purpose would their murders at this point serve to the plot, it would mean they would essentially be handing themselves over to the police, as there was recording of the women and the MC's journey route from the supermarket to the Cabin, and the Cabin is rented tourist accommodation, not Sangwoo's house which is fairy isolated. Instead we saw the psychological drama element of the plot. Bum not knowing how to react to this impulsive Sangwoo who is starting to divulge their secrets, whereas Sangwoo is more concerned with staying with Bum, and having Bum's priority. Bum is empowered now to question Sangwoo about his behaviour and is apparently taking an almost parent like role within their relationship. The bath scene, Sangwoo ducking his head under the water (like a ceremony/ like a baptism/ like a cleansing experience) in order to move the conversation on, so avoidance, when Bum started to question why Sangwoo was behaving impulsively when it could be to the detriment of them both.
It's not about him "having a low IQ" (IQ is contested anyway so isn't really appropriate), it's showing his impulsive behaviour. This could be for a variety of reasons, but if you want to put on your armchair psychologist hat, then it's quite a common symptom of personality disorders. Sangwoo's intelligence isn't relevant, he appears otherwise a competent man, at university and holding down jobs. That still doesn't mean he can't exhibit impulsive, innapropriate or self destructive behaviour.
Sorry my mistake. The context being that they were all drunk, and the women probably thought he was just saying absurd things in order to get attention. The only person who doesn't take things at face value was the sacked detective who is obsessing over Sangwoo & Bum, but obviously went about things in the wrong way, such as stalking them, breaking into Sangwoo's house, entering his house without a warrant and being physically violent towards Sangwoo which led to him losing his position. I think maybe the sacked detective might start to play a larger role again, as he seeks some vigilante justice.
At first, I was willing to give Yuri the benefit of the doubt of just being politically ignorant, after all I've seen plenty of people who genuinely think disbanding their country's military/police will end all issues of war and civic unrest. And there's an entire political movement behind creating more welfare programs than the budget could ever handle in every nation. It all sounds like it'll help people if you don't think through the after effects.
But seriously, she's playing her prince like a fiddle to get what she wants after doing the bare minimum to get maximum brownie points. Like who asks for a summer resort after having recently been told you don't have the money to support your own charity organization? And she gets a new dress like every other day.
I think Yuri's prince is blinded by love and too lazy to understand what makes a country prosperous. He knows tax money comes from the people, but doesn't know the people have a limited amount of money to give. He thinks being a prince is a right, not a duty. Love over duty sounds so romantic, but Yuri just encourages the worst in him. Guarantee a week under his rule and the country will collapse.
I noticed there's a light novel, but I haven't found anybody translating it (and there's supposed to be a light novel sequel featuring MC's daughter). Is there a translation group that's got it?
