Yes it's annoying how Rachel is using Marie, but Marie is using her too. They're both using each other to get the most of the deal. Rachel needs the place of empress or whatever, and Marie needs to gtfo before the prince finds her out.
Remember that Marie thinks the prince will kill her due to being a royal from the Cloyan (?) Empire. She doesn't know that a political marriage is an option. She just wants to leave and live a peaceful life away from death threats.
Rachel, wants to get married to the prince due to political reasons, just like the prince. The prince is only getting married because he has to, plus he wants the best for his people.
And the other one, she just wants to get married to elevate her status. That's literally it. They're literally all using each other. Y'all need to fucking grow up.

It took so long to cut her off, like damn. It made him suffer, and it made Elissa suffer as well. It may seem easy to cut someone as toxic as Julia, so the way Ginger did it is really satisfying.

It might be stupid and selfish on how Ginger is doing this by himself, but Elissa shouldn't be in the picture for this one. Ginger knows the real story, and he has his real thoughts and feelings hidden. He's grown to like Elissa, but he still has many issues to deal with. So it'll take a long time for him to be able to love Elissa fully. If you think that's stupid, it's fine. Just keep in mind that Ginger never had someone that truly loved him in his life, so that may affect him much more than what you really think.

Maybe after this, he can talk to Elissa properly, and actually talk to her as if she was at his level. Because there's an obvious difference on how he treats her. He doesn't think of her as less equal to him, but he treats her like a flower about to loose their petals. If he really wants her to be in a good emotional, mental and physical state, he has to treat her as his equal. Because their married, and marriage is a partnership.
