I have mixed feelings about this one. On one hand sure it's cute but on the other I honestly have some unnerving feelings about this one.
First of all in that situation I would feel suffocated, just sitting around all day everything I have is because of someone else - so they can hold it over me, I don't have any job or funds of my own so I can't even do anything on my own accord. Idk it just feels off .
Also the alphas behaviour is borderline wierd and obsessive/stalkery
I'M SO FUCKING TIRED OF THIS SHIT. OF WAITING A WHOLE WEEK FOR AN EPISODE IN WHICH NOTHING HAPPENS!! OH MY FUCKING GOD THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN 1/3 EVEN 1/4 OF A CHAPTER NOT A WHOLE ONE.
ITS SO INFURIATING, FOR THE LAST I ODNT KNOW 10 CHAPTERS THE SAME THING HAPPENS - UNGAE IS TRYING TO CATCH UP TO IL YEON AND IT'S SO STRETCHED OUT
FUCKING HELL
Am I the only who is getting annoyed at the fact that NOTHING is happening in the recent chapters? The story feels like a slog, this is such a tense moment for the plot and it's SO slow paced. I really enjoy the story but to wait a month for something to finally happen, cause maybe once in 4 chapters something is actually happening.
What happened in this chapter? Byulee came and Il Yeon got a bath that's it
I fucking hated the beginning, it just seemed to make her look weak and inferior to a man, without the help of a magic force. I would've understood the difference in swordfighting skills if she only just now started training but she's been training and practicing for life, so it completely proves what in theory it wants to disprove.
Moreover they make her look idiotic, and make her the comic relief in the promo, only looking scary. Meh maybe will try it again after some time passes and my anger subsides
My issue with that scene was that they showed she gave him a hard time and was able to keep up, her sword just broke. I don't think there were be many knights that can face the archduke the way she did. So even if she isn't the absolute best, she qualifies more than some of the other male knights.
That's the thing I hate about some of these "strong women" stories - just being strong isn't enough, she has to be unusually strong if not the strongest to be seen similarly to weaker less talented men.
Strength isn't the only factor. Practice, experience and skill, speed, paying attention to details/weak spots, confidence, and so many more factors are needed.
So a distracted guy that's holding back because he's underestimating her won't do as well, a bigger guy that's never held a sword won't know how to position himself to swing it, and another knight with more training might not be as fast/clever/whatever other related skill even if he is physically stronger.
That's why a smaller guy might be able to beat a bigger guy, since it's not always just about pure strength.
But yeah strength does help make up for other areas someone is lacking in sometimes since it is an important factor.
I just despise that Asian authors have this thing for the "nearly raped" trope where one of the characters is sexually assaulted, nearly raped but they just treat it as a plot device and then immediately jump into a sex scene for the main couple like it's some "purifying sex". Like they nearly got raped and you thing they would immediately want to have sex? It's a traumatic experience, not some run of the mill thing. Well looking at the amount of manga/manhwa that use this trope it becomes a standard and I hate it.
And also that there's no repercussions for the fucking rapist?
Right? And sometimes they even make spin off stories for those rapists like they deserve any kind of sympathy
