Seeing those red panels is giving me hope Jo will use that gun in protecting Ian one day, without guilt tripping, and to see what's he's fully capable of doing for the one he's in love with. We don't know much about him, so seeing him, a regular guy, development into this different life will be intriguing.
I too want to know what Ian really wanted to check. Ian is getting all these new emotions (?) and doing things he hasn't done before, like camping and having roasted marshmallows for the first time, which goes with how he related his experience with Jo feeling like it's his first time. It's all new to him (again?). I'm curious how their relationship is going to develop more once their feeling/attachment gets more strong.
[because we don't how it will lead it could either positive or negative of obsessive love.]
You know what amazes me. That fact that Cain got all the symbolism to the seasons, Jooin still refers him to spring and yet he's the 2nd ML, good for him I believe he deserves better but they really gave all that to a 2nd ML while the ML only got a whole pity paty story. You think they would've given something more meaningful.
Anyway can't say I hated the story there were moment I did like. But this story won't have fond memories with me like other stories I read.
The realistic backgrounds are so funny they're good. I seen Cain stans make edits with Cain visiting their country. Team Cain are having a blast with this chapter. My favorite one is with the zebras he looks so silly and happy that he was able to step out of the webtoon for a his travels good for you Cain.
Hope next chapter will be about them building their relationship outside of the sexual element because that's literally what their whole relationship is. We never saw them communicating nor going on dates to build upon their relationship, it was always sex whenever yahwi wanted (this time it was finally Jooin ig that's a "development"). It's just so boring when it's just plain sex with no proper bonding/connecting. I can see why others are not satisfied with the development of their relationship and say that these two going straight to it is unnecessary [in that moment], because Jooin never saw yahwi "change"
Love triangles will always have a timeskip and one thing I dislike, that they do often, is rather than seeing them communicate their differences from the past and talk about how their lifes are now, to get some bonding and romantic build up, they always go straight to explicitly, like take dude out for dinner or go for a walk hand in hand. Build the chemistry we didn't see them have before, give us the 10%
Pacing wise, I think the make-up sex (i assume will happen next chapter) should've been saved in the side story rather than main, chapter 100 was perfect to end the main story since that's where the main story ended, Jooin meeting the one he wants and confessing. The sex will just drag out the main story but won't feel or be drag out in the side story as its the aftermath of the main story and you can see their domestic life.
I see others say "what's to continue" and I agree, the main ended. Continue to the side story instead and others would understand and not question what's to continue and most would drop it there instead of coming back to 'see how it ends'. Oh and I think Cain epilogue should've happen after 98 THEN to endgame, I mean it would've kept ppl on their toes if it did happen lol
But I think ik why the author did it this way though...
Look, I love Cain character but, even as a love triangle, his part feels like it's randomly thrown in for fun rather than plot to the main character. The reincarnation had no value if you think about it now. And what even was the point of them sharing the same damn birthday?? Just felt like needless work for the author to give themselves.
Cain deserves better than having his own story become irrelevant.
I did see a few spoiler regarding the next two chapter and I can say 59 definitely hits hard in how Ian sees himself. He doesn't think highly of himself or gives himself self-worth he deserves. He always thinks he's dirty and used up basically giving rather than wanting. Here is a prime example, he doesn't necessarily say he wants it, he says it's what tj been wanting.
But still at least for him, he still controlling who he goes to. In his profile when wetsand released it said Ian doesn't stop those who go to him, nor prevents them when they want leave. So if he sees someone who does want him he'll go along because for him that's still his control in allowing it. Then when they leave he doesn't force them to stay like how David did to him. I hope what I'm saying makes sense.
Anyway, there's so many thing readers miss regarding Ian and I feel like could be one of them. I think this chapter (59) is meant to show us Ian mental state regarding how he views sex, which some have already pointed out that sex is a form of coping for him.
