every chapter was so good. I love this alot. I think the pace is perfect and the tension is just thr. I also rly like the ml. :') the portrayal of the mc's self-sabotage/depression/ptsd(honestly dk what it is...) is done quite well if I do say so myself.

I liked how mc has been so clear cut so far, esp so w how he's dealing w his grandfather. most would opt to stay and reap the benefits while there but I liked how he was willing to thank the grandfather for what he's done so far and to leave it all behind if needed.
ig his past life made him more cynical than a typical child would be at his age and that's helping him so far, ofc his friend(athlete) was shocked w how he's changed but I think his friend would come around once he had time to process what happened.
I also teared up when he weeped for his parents in front of his friend. :')
