Yeon Jeokha was a boy who was extremely abused by his step-mother, never directly met his father (saw him ONCE as a child, right before he died) and was locked inside a storage shed with his deceased father’s belongings for ten years. Having no means of escape due to the guards surrounding the shed, living off of rock-hard bread, and the meager clothing that he was thrown into the shed with… it’s a miracle he made it through those ten years. However, that miracle was only possible thanks to a strange artifact found within his father’s belongings. A jade mirror. The reflection in that mirror was able to move on its own, as it was a Divine Maiden’s relic. The spirit of the maiden ends up teaching the poor boy martial arts, as his only ‘company’ for those ten years. Ironically, that isolation allowed Jeokha to focus solely on martial arts, becoming a powerful master. Until one day when he perfected those arts, and ends up breaking a hole in the ceiling. The maiden encourages him to escape, as he’s completed the training, and so he does.
Now alone in the world, with only the knowledge of a 6-year-old boy, Yeon Jeokha flees from the town he’d been secretly held hostage in. Running to the woods, Jeokha’s one meal of stale bread can’t fuel him for long before he’s overcome with hunger. Despite the immense amount of power he possesses, Jeokja doesn’t know how to survive. Ends up eating a poisonous mushroom and almost dying… only to be saved by a group of bandits who take him in and treat him like one of their own. A familial love Jeokha had never felt before, and would now do ANYTHING to protect.

Very wholesome - The strongest martial artist in the past was sealed away in ice for 1000yrs, and finally emerges. Without any purpose or goal, he began to drift yet again… but then a little girl comes along, and her kindness melts the cold exterior. Just like the ice that’d held him captive for so long. It’s so wholesome, and he finds a new purpose in life as a father. Seeking to do good and live a peaceful life with his daughter, all while the legends and legacies of a millennium ago linger overhead.
