Honestly, the main issue with this manhwa wasn't even the mother conflict but the part where Jiho decides to go to his ex fuck buddy's place when they have a fight and even is tempted to take Changi's offer to date him because it was easier.
Inwoo never finds out about it, so everything Jiho does to get Inwoo on his feet feels like him trying to compensate for what he did or was about to do. Jiho always felt weak to Changi. Even when they stopped sleeping together, he almost kissed him until the door bell stopped them.
It felt like if Changi pushed Jiho, he could have possibly given in. That entire part felt quite out of place in middle of all the conflicts. Jiho should have cut ties with Changi way before the second time the main couple fought. Imagine if Inwoo decided to run back to his ex wife because him and Jiho fought and got tempted to get back together after she offered to get back together? Yeah, that would be just as shitty. That entire thing got swept under the rug due to the whole mother conflict.

He really should’ve cleanly cut ties cause changi is just psycho, he only ever “liked” jiho when he realizes he doesn’t have him in his palm and is at risk of losing him to inwoo, has the audacity to be like “do you know why we never got together? It’s your fault cause you have internalized homophobia and make me feel like I’m doing smth wrong being with the person I liked because you don’t wanna be seen in public together” and not, you know, the fact he fucked him and moved to the next person right at the beginning and jiho finding him with someone else… his confession and pursuit now is insulting enough, but mc should’ve gotten actually angry at his attempts to sabotage his starting relationship with inwoo, what the hell was the “you slept with me calling his name, oh you spent the night at his place so you got what you wanted, oh he doesn’t love you he pities you” bullshit, and it’s so maddening that mc not only didn’t cut ties, did not get angry at his sabotage attempts, but got swayed twice, nearly kissing him before doorbell when he was already past confession and dating inwoo, and then actually getting jealous and hurt about green hair having the pink hair guy over as if he still saw him as a romantic option, like bro did you forget your own words of him being a sociopath? And how he betrayed you in the past? Why do you think he never confessed to you till now? And even after him cutting ties and returning his scarf by mail he STILL goes to his house when he fights with inwoo, W H Y, muddied mc’s integrity as a character for no reason, the plot would’ve been the same even if mc showed no temptation to changi, (not even talking about mc tryna push ml and his mom to make up TWICE against his will when he knows it’s a woman that left a child alone in the care of a violent abuser…)

For real. Chungi continued to break Jiho's trust, never tried to reciprocate his want for an exclusive relationship and suddenly wanted him once he moved on. So many red flags Jiho chose to ignore and kept getting tempted by Chungi even though he was actively courting Inwoo. Make it make sense. Even after Jiho and Inwoo start officially dating, he runs back to Chungi at the first sight of conflict... Are you for real? That wishy washyness of Jiho's really made it difficult to like him.

Their relationship did feel a little weird in the beginning because Jihoon was physically an adult but he was undeniably a mentally stunted child. His parents left him inside a basement while he was still a child. He was so young that he couldn't even recognize that he was feeling lonely and suicidal at one point. Those were feelings he never really learned. He went into isolation before that. It's interesting that he feels empathy for Gi Tae. It's clear he is incapable of feeling empathy for anyone else. He is rather ruthless.
For Gi Tae, who has lived in the hell that was the upper world, that basement was a sanctuary, but for someone like Jihoon who had lived in that basement all alone and in complete and utter silence and loneliness, that very paradise was probably like a hell to him. He would have killed himself that day if he never came across Gi Tae. I was kinda waiting for that to be revealed to Gi Tae at some point, but it never was. Bummer.
I was looking forward to some mutual feelings sexy time lol. The other sex scenes were kinda mechanical. Jihoon didn't know what sex even was and Gi Tae was going through it because he felt like it was an obligation for the safety Jihoon was providing him. It would have been nice if there were 10-20 chapters more.

It was good. I liked that the side characters were also given the opportunity to be flashed out and not just exist as mere side pieces. I felt like at some points the pacing felt a little weird and off. I like that it was more plot oriented, but there was hardly much room for romance since both the mc and ml were busy with their revenges. I wouldn't recommend this as a romance to anyone. I wanna know who the spin-off is going to be about. Is it going to be about Taemin and Jay still and focus on the romance more?

I am always skeptical of puppy tops because they are somehow worse than puppy bottoms in terms of having zero self respect for themselves. I am glad it looks like Frey doesn't look like a pushover.
I hope the author has enough support to continue this forward. The plot and characters seem really good. It would be a shame if it's discontinued due to the lack of funding.

Honestly, those group of guys scare me. They are privileged mfers who are only privileged due to their secondary gender and that's scary. Like yeah, kim shin is nice and all to yeon woo because he is attached to him.
Anyway, I feel like this was 100% axed in half. The first 30 chapters felt like very obvious setup and world building that was meant to pay off with more than 20+ chapters. The final arc just abruptly started by the end of the 48th chapter like they had to rush to the ending for some reason and simply had no time for proper build up anymore. W/e it may have been, I hope that there is a second season to actually focus on the main leads more. The first season was mostly focused on the background conflicts surrounding their relationship and not exactly their relationship itself.
Like Yeon Woo's uncle being wary of dominant alphas also seemed to be a setup that would be touched on by the end, you would think, but we never even reached there. I like that Yeon Woo was shown to be protecting himself to the best of his abilities and he didn't rely on Kim Shin to save him all the time. It was the perfect choice by the author to make Yeon Woo save himself instead of Shin.

OMG, THIS HAS A MANHWA?? I remember reading the novel back in the day and LOVING it. It's actually so cute how whipped the ML gets for the MC. It's so worth it to see.
Honestly, as bratty as Chase is, he isn't actually a complete shit-bag like Keith. This is genuinely way better than KML. Chase has a really nice character development down the line and it's revealed he didn't actually rape Josh. I think this is a spoiler people would appreciate down the line lol.
Is the MC starting to catch feelings for the ML? Finally?
I don't think he's catching feelings I don't think he's agreed to let his walls down and actually be open to possibly feeling comfortable enough with him to do so
