4/10. Not too bad but not great either. I feel like the characters were bland and very one dimensional. The fact that the capri accepted his enemy, who razed his kingdom to the ground, killing his kin and his people, destroying his home without any mental anguish or guilt is hard to pallate. And his people too accepted his smyrna without question also doesn't make sense. And Calion's obsession was never really explored, like why was he obsessed, just because? I mean I like all the fluff and that seth was a green flag, there's clear consent in the love scenes but the story and the characters fell flat for me. Read this if you want fluff and want a feel good story, otherwise skip. This is my least fave of bwtnim works so far.

It started out good, FL was a bad ass, but then turned into a damsel in distress/weakling. Her character was so inconsistent that it didn't make sense. And next, The emperor, immediately fell in love at first sight which made me think he was thinking with his dick, but then later revealed he'd loved her in his past lives too. The emperor kept acting like a madman stabbing his trusted friends too for no good reason.... didnt make sense, cause he forgave grave mistakes before....So many loose ends that don't make sense, like she could eavesdrop so easily? No guards standing around? Dude's the emperor! Hello? She immediately accepted lea's girl explanation as to why she was pushed into the river? Went to the library conveniently in the middle of the night without a lady's maid? She's a noble, and emperor's fave concubine or lover, she would gave drove of maids, and baldwin? Knowing FL had the ring didn't immediately searched her? Like make it make sense.
The only reason I read all chapters was cause the emperor's hot and I like their chemistry and affection towards each other. Plot wise 4/10. If bored, sure read this, but God there's so many better ones out there.
This manga got similarities yet the plot is quite different from each other. My Fav! This is in a random order. I will update in as I come across more similar manga which I like.

Already love yeomin, but you see here he's been thinking of him and not realising it. He noticed that yeomin hasn't sent any text and wondered why, thought whether he was sleeping or doing part time and the talk in the car where he was listening attentively (look at his open body language) about what yeomin was saying about the high schooler as opposed to before in previous chapters where he looked borderline annoyed that yeomin was talking a lot. There's progress.... ML isnt exactly red flag, yellow flag maybe? Proceed with caution lolol. But inhope if there us angst coming, yeomin will bounce back quickly..
Tae Gang is such an asshole, why is he treating Lee Gon so badly? Just when Lee Gon started feeling like the Tae Gang was being sweet. I thought Tae Gang was acting sweeter too but no, like stepping in MC, that was too much. I wish some one would beat his shit face. I hope there's gonna be regret and a long chasing arc...

Unpopular wish from a BL girlie, is it utterly sinful to want the crown prince to get together with Cael? In a very long time, I prefer BL cause I can't really tolerate nor relate to the typical FL lead character "damsel in distress, im the weakest most fragile being, save me my prince" being a hyper independent woman myself. But this, I truly enjoy this. The FL isn't blushing every few minutes, didn't flinch when kissed despite being inexperienced, has her own mind, and insanely hot and beautiful, total badass in the battlefield and would not tolerate bullcrap.
