This story is one of my favorites. It's impossible to get sick of this comic. The characters are so beloved and the tone of the story is gritty and sad but there is a lot of humor and fluff peppered thoughout. Jianyi and Zhangxi and so flipping endearing and I love their love.
And the side story about Mo guan Shan and He Tian is also very compelling and enjoyable.
Plus there's so much fan fiction for this comic. Literally so much...it's a big fandom...
At the End of the Road
Hands down my favorite manhwa. It's psychological and inteligent, and violent but not excessively so. There are some popular korean manhwa out there right now that are so violent and rape-y that I can't justify reading them.
The violence in this, however, is not constant, and it definitely adds to the plot and the complexity of the characters. Taemin and woojin are so goddamn complex and the author is a genius at writing banter like damn. The banter is a hell of a lot sharper in Korean but ricepunch's translations were pretty amazing. The official English releases are a lot shittier tbh but that's all we got now.
Ngl though I really despise Jiwook. He's such a slimy little worm.
Fools
A sunbae in college gradually falls for his cute hoobae, whom he knows is gay. He is confused by his attraction because he has never considered being attracted to another male.
This is a very realistic drama about a university student who gradually realizes his homosexual attraction. In Korea, homosexuality is hardly acknowledged, and many people don't believe that it even exists. The homophobia isn't so overt as it is in other countries, which is why the protagonist slowly comes to recognize his feelings.
