I just realized that the og couple was so toxic because they had bad examples to follow. Hyeol’s dad was ofc gone so he was influenced by his alpha dad who neglected mc, his grandmother who already showed clingy stalker tendencies, and story books. And kotsu would have followed his nanny’s relationship with his dad, a subordinate, and got an extreme version his dad’s way of accommodating others, he would have become a door mat.
