I thought volume one was very strong. I enjoyed their hate to love dynamic and the world they live in. All second genders are equal in the work place and there wasn't random attacks on an omega in heat. The world is safe and at no point did I feel like Shishikura was in danger while he was in heat, because I was assured the times have changed. And although there are still preferences and dislike for omegas, it's framed as an individual issue, rather an societal issue (meaning the woman that looked down on Shishikura is the problem, not him being an omega). The story is an omegaverse but the story didnt feel like it was screaming at me "this is abo! This is abo!" It was about two men with completely different personalities learning to open up about their feelings AND they happen to be alpha and omega and have these underlying issues that they both need to resolve. That's how volume one spoke to me.

But in volume two it just became a typical abo story. Suddenly being an omega is a societal problem, omegas are inferior than Alphas and Betas, and there's emphasis on society still being the same shitty place it was years ago. Shishikura's reason for marriage branches out to be more about his second gender and security as an omega living in this shitty world that looks down on him. I thought he wanted marriage because of fomo? jokes aside though, initially he wanted marriage because he wants to be happy like his parents and siblings and friends. He original reason for marriage was for happiness. That's such a good and sweet reason. The change made it about safety concern instead. Why did it have to change from that? Just to overcomplicate and crumble the world building back down to the typical.

Shishikura also gets attacked while in heat, typical. The conflict with the family blessing was dealt with very poorly. The trauma Kotani carried for years and the hate the dad has, and his mother's presence and cause of his trauma was glossed over easily, fixed just like that. Not to mention Kotani's little spat with his older brother about not messing with omegas (Shishikura) and the brother was like "like father, like son" to imply the dad is someone who does the same but that little bit never took off and the Dad is just a shitty omega hater? I wonder if that subplot was gonna go somewhere but got cut loose? Idk.

I enjoyed their struggle with coming to terms with what they mean to each other when it really comes down to it but the execution was poor for volume two. It was messy and didn't seem well thought out, just felt like a cookie cutter obligated sequel. The art style change was expected but the stylistic choice for Shishikura specifically was...iffy. His hair being droopy compared to the more volumized perkiness in the previous is a huge loss imo. Also Kotani losing his defined waves/curls and getting replaced with basic flat waves. Cries.

I read this years ago without volume two and really enjoyed this, gave it good score. Now I'll have to change the score cuz volume 2 was disappointing.

Imo if I'm gonna read this again, i'll consider the story ended at volume one and knowing they did eventually get married, then skip volume two to read the extra about having their daughter will suffice.

The art and their personalities changed a lot. Shishi must've switched shampoo brands

Kotani looks as handsome as when he was first introduced, but in the last few chapters Yu looked terrible, like the author couldn't be bothered to draw him out nicely. Ending was also rushed, the marriage and child rearing could have stood for another volume. Glad to see they had a kid though.

as a reader who already finished this on novel, I really Reallyyyy recommend to read the novel first. well the art is really pretty and cute but i actually i wanted to give this rating 4/5 because the plot from this manhua is pretty confusing and rushed if you haven’t read the novel. In the novel, everyone’s pov is written so it’s really heart warming but i don’t see it in manhua at all. and Yu Yang personality in novel is like a porcupine to others but a shy rabbit infront of his captain but i can’t get that feeling in manhua at all. and many other things too…

The main thing that saved this for me was that Aoi fell for him when he thought he was a 17/18 yr old and the love he held on to for so long was towards that oldsr guy in his head. There was no grooming type plot(thank god) and once they reuited the ML was 18 yrs old. AND when they first did the deed, Aoi thought he was doing it with a 25 yr old. The whol lying until after doing it does feel kinda icky but other than that it was preety cute even with the age gap. I wouldnt date an 18 yr old at 23 but at least nkthing happened when he was 11(?!? Still kinda crazy ngl)

Nah they barely made him an adult he didn't even graduate so uh yeah this is a pedophile cute story but the idea of him being a high schooler was criminal...

After 2 chapters: Sooo MC thought love interest was like 17 when he was actually 10? I suspend my disbelief for a lot of yaoi plot but cannot suspend my disbelief for that.

The fact is girls just turn to their worse possible selves when in a friend group. I swear I’ve talked about some mean shit without meaning to from the peer pressure of people that didn’t even bother remembering anything I tell them.

What the actual crap was that? Like I’ve read the first chapter a few years ago and I remember being excited for it and now I just saw it again and that it was finished, read it and I’m actually flabbergasted at this audacity. Like every chapter from first to last featured sexual assault and then rape. Also not to forget the whole possessive, yandere bs.
To think sasaki was groomed and assaulted in the past, to then basically be treated like this and everything is put under the „dog seme label“, big ass yikes and then it’s conveniently a love story.
Also the grandpa was doing his best and wanted to support his grandson without forcing him to tell it to him but that the author wrote him saying he should live a life he’s proud of, after that dude being abused by his tutor and being groomed into thinking he liked it, is like putting responsibility onto him. Like the sentence and statement per se is right but not the fitting sentence to say in this context. And considering that it resulted in him not wanting to pursue a relationship with a dude he apparently (don’t understand why bc the seme sucks hard) loves, is like wait I don’t think he got that grandpas message right? Idk this story was steaming pile of garbage, I was actually speechless.

Sometimes I really hate the girls in yaoi. Not only did that bitch cheat on him, but she also spread rumors about him. It doesn’t matter if baldy was the one that wasn’t putting the attention she wanted, it was ultimately HER the one that was at fault. If you don’t like someone and feel a falling out, then you should BREAK UP with them than lie behind their back. Chances are, people who cheat like that and give the excuse of “not caring enough” are those that end up cheating with their spouses later on in life.

Baldy shouldn’t even be the one apologizing in the first place. And on top of that, her new boyfriend is fawning over her while she is seemingly busy on her phone makes my blood boil. She honestly seems like the type of girl who wants to have guys chasing after her only

Everything is up my alley from the art style to the story to the character dynamic, BUT the story is just one of those whiplash sort that goes from one tone to another recklessly, like it's so lighthearted one moment then suddenly it's angsty, also the plot is kinda inconsistent, the uke is supposed to be a brat but also gentle? he's supposed to be a slut but aside from the seme, he's only ever been with one other dude, he pushed the seme away coz he wants him to take him as a pure senpai but his motive from the beginning was actually to get close to him coz he's got a crush on the seme? Like were there edits throughout this production that the author refused to give up that's why the plot seems scattered in multiple ways? the seme on the other hand is more consistent, but boy is he lowkey the type who won't take no for an answer, so much that it's creepy. I would've said that the wobbly plot is due to the translation again, but this group is actually known and are good at what they do, I doubt that's the case for this one.

I have been there for so many "coming out" moments of my friends that when Acchan and Maki fought at the bar, I wanted to just hug both of them. They needed to cool their heads and talk like they did the next day, but I was disappointed that Acchan considered leaving his home for Maki. Clear the air first, don't just issue ultimatums, it makes people anxious. If they talked calmly and Maki still felt uncomfortable, then a separation is required. Mangas say it all the time "Don't go deciding things on your own." I'm glad Maki pressed Acchan to listen to what he had to say. This was REALLY a great story. I loved every bit of it.

About 15 months ago I was struggling with my sexuality and how I was supposed to act around the girl I was growing to love, who was my friend for over 4 years. I always like to call her my wife and she'd just giggle blush a little, but I made the horrible mistake of distancing myself from her, and hurt her deeply by doing so. I didn't know this since she always had people by her side. I tried to make it better but she wouldn't respond and the one time she did, it was pure acid. I think I still love her but this story really made me want to cry (/TДT)/

The word that best describes this manga is "sensual". It had the men of bara, but the romance of yaoi mixed together with a latin flare and wonderul! The only way it could be better was if you saw the main couple really be in love without any doubt in their relationship.
