Recap for those late to the party:
The issue is that a fantastic completed chapter 5 was uploaded over a month ago, only for it to be deleted and replaced with varying quality, sometimes incomplete versions multiple times over the past week. It never needed to be fixed or replaced in the first place. And now, after multiple notifications for the same chapter that has been reuploaded and deleted, new people are trickling in and misunderstanding the situation, further complicating it. To be clear, the notifications are not a website glitch, chapter 5 is being altered repeatedly by someone(s).
I understand the people wanting to protect the uploader's feelings and ensure the continuation of the project. However, when it comes to uploading to a large site like this, it is important that uploaders and translators do their best to manage the files in a way that gives everyone access to read them. Deleting clear, cleaned scans with great translations is not reader-friendly. It is totally understandable why people would be upset and I do not begrudge them.
I also think it's important for people to not resort to calling others ungrateful when they have legitimate criticisms for the way uploaders are handling a series.
Came back to reread. First volume is best. So many cute kids in bike helmets, and the scope of the story is smaller, more intimate. The conflict revolves around the characters learning to process their emotions and function in their roles as single parents. Meanwhile, the following volumes feel a little bit like throwing random tropes out to drag out the plot. I think most people who were drawn to the story originally came for the slice of life two dads with kids aspect, and that got lost in the burnt house/porn/acting/tabloid drama.
Not every submission/domination relationship involves sadomasochism, would be nice to see power dynamics that don't involve bonks once in a while. Personally not into choking and hitting, and manga authors don't seems to really grasp consent very well so I'd rather just avoid the physical stuff altogether.
George imma need recurring monthly payments my dude.
