I mean, it is true that scanlations done without the artists' permission are not respecting their wishes. I know I myself am a hyprocrite, such as many on this site, but once the artist knows that people are sharing the comic to a much larger audience and asks for it to stop, then we should openly do so. We don't want to disrespect them even further by ignoring it. To a point, scanlations do help introduce an author and a series, but there should be limitations. Text summaries are okay since readers can understand what's happening, but won't get the luxury of viewing the actual comics themselves unless they purchase the chapters. This is why I think it's a good way to go.

In addition, many scanlation teams themselves delete the links leading to the downloads of the chapters they release. However, once it's uploaded here and any other aggregate sites, it's here forever. The scanlation teams do respect the artists to a degree.

EP 20 text summary: flashback to Taesung meeting Haebom for the first time
Background: Taesung has been brought up by his grandmother in his parents’s absence. Although his father comes to see him from time to time, his mother doesn’t. One day -
His mother suddenly comes and insists that Taesung comes with her to go somewhere. Taesung is surprised and a little frightened as he had not come into much contact with his mother before, and holds onto his grandmother. His grandmother encourages him to go. Taesung’s mother seems to be in a bad mood over something, and does not speak to him the entire drive to ... Haebom’s house. Taesung is nervous - he wants to talk to his mother but doesn’t dare to..
- he meets Haebom and his mother for the first time. Haebom’s mother is surprised at Taseung’s mother’s visit. Haebom greets but Taesung is too shy. He has not gone to preschool as he is home-schooled and has no friends. Taesung’s mother suddenly changes her demeanour into a friendly one and greets Haebom warmly. However, Taesung is unable to do so and his mother gets angry. Haebom’s mother steps in and speaks in a friendly way to him. She comments on how handsome he is and wonders who he resembles. Taesung’s mother sarcastically says ‘who else but that person (his father also hints at a bad relationship between them ). Haebom’s mother says ‘but his eyes completely resemble yours.’ They go off to talk and Haebom holds Taesung’s hand and invites him to go and play. Haebom asks Taesung what games he wants to play, Taesung doesn’t know. Haebom asks what he does at preschool. Taesung says he doesn’t go and a teacher comes over. Haebom says he doesn’t have friends too since they just moved houses. Haebom was my first friend, (grown up) Taesung thinks in a flashback to this moment. As their mothers met often, so naturally, they started to see each other often.
- they are playing with a slide when Haebom notices that Taesung seems sleepy. Haebom suggests that Taesung go to sleep but Taesung says he also wants to play with Haebom. Cute Haebom thinks about this dilemma ^^ and then suggests they play being princesses in a forest. It’s something he plays with his mother. While the ‘princess’ sleeps, the ‘prince’ is beside ‘her’ keeping watch. Haebom tucks Taesung in, saying ‘you are the princess!’ and ‘I will keep watch beside you!’ Taesung: *___* (thinks: is that what ahjumma does when she wants to sleep? You’d go off to play while I sleep, won’t you?)
- Taesung awakens and finds out Haebom didn’t leave and instead, fell asleep next to him. (He really stayed beside me.. why when he had wanted to play on the slide?) Taesung wonders while pulling a blanket over Haebom. At that, Haebom’s mother comes into the room and notices Taesung doing so. Haebom’s mother asks if Taesung is watching over Haebom and before Taesung could deny it and explain he had just woken up and it was Haebom who was watching over him, Haebom’s mother pats him on the head thanks him for watching over him. She frets over Haebom not being able to sleep at night if he continues sleeping now and carries him. Then she looks over at Taesung and reaches a hand out to him- “let’s go together” and smiles.
Taesung thinks: like that, I came to prefer meeting ahjumma and you over the mum who I had longed for.”

Ep 21 text summary - continuation of Taesung's flashback - :
"From the time I met ahjumma and Haebom-ie, I started living with Mum.."
As Taesung's grandmother did not trust his mother, she came to the house often. Taesung shows his grandmother a drawing that he and Haebom did. Taesung's grandmother thinks to herself that Taesung talks about Haebom a lot. She asks what they drew - they drew the people they liked - Haebom drew his mother; Taesung drew his grandmother. She praises him and thanks him but asks why he didn't draw his mother. He replies that it's because he likes grandmother. Grandmother asks him if he had liked living with his parents - he says it was just alright, because they fought everyday. He asks his grandmother why she can't live with them. She just hugs him and apologises...
"Although I began to live together with Mum under one roof, we couldn't become close.."
- Taesung is walking down the stairs when he overhears his mother on the phone with Haebom's mother only to hear her say:
"I really wished I didn't have a son."
She is talking about how she had wanted a daughter but eventually only pleased her father (by having a son) and also, if she had a daughter, she could marry her off to Haebom. Haebom's mother (laughs nervously) saying that it (whether their kids would get married) is not something they could determine. Taesung's mother goes on with saying if it were her daughter and they (their kids) could not get married, wouldn't she be like that (angry too)?!. Haebom's mother seems startled "what?", she says for her, it is okay as long as the kids like it (whoever they decide to marry) but for Taesung's mother, seems her father would have objected (if their kids got married). Taesung's mother is furious, saying it's her child, so what has it got to do with her father. As long as she permits it.. Anyway she says it's no use talking about it now and says she wishes she would have not given birth. At that, Haebom's mother is shocked and asks her to make sure Taesung isn't around because what would she do if he heard it. She turns around but there's no one there. Haebom's mother says it's not Taesung's fault.. Taesung's mother says she knows and that she shouldn't have but she had ventd her anger on him. Taesung is hiding behind the wall so his mother can't see him and he is in tears..he thinks, for the first time, he knows why his mother was angry.
- Haebom and Haebom's mother come to visit. Taesung takes Haebom to his room to play. He cutely says that his (Taesung's) room is as big as his (Haebom's) whole house. Haebom doesn't have his own room, instead he lives in a one-room with parents (where they sleep together in the same bedroom). Haebom asks if Taesung is scared to sleep alone but he answers that he isn't (and has a downcast expression). Haebom notices and asks Taesung where he's hurting as he doesn't look good. Taesung sadly says, "Mum doesn't like me." At that, Haebom is shocked and quickly interjects with "No, that's not it!" Taesung explains that his mother had wanted them to marry but because of him (as he is a boy), it can't be done, and she dislikes him because he's a boy. Haebom asks innocently, "why can't we? isn't marriage something that you do with someone you like?" Taesung replies.."then, is it that you like me?" and Haebom replies with a bright smile, "Yes! I like Taesung! What about you?" Taesung replies with a shy expression.."Me too.. "
"I was so thankful for those words of yours. It didn't matter even if you were lying just to console me."
- "I like you", says present-day Taesung, while looking at the photo of kid Haebom and Taesung together that is in his wallet, "Bom-ah".

yep. ahjumma = aunt in korean. so T would refer to Haebom's mother as ahjumma and Haebom would refer to T's mother as ahjumma. (for blood-relations, it's usually e-mo). ^^

Ep 22 text summary - present-day - Haebom is dressing for school in the morning. He has woken up early as it is his turn to prepare breakfast. He goes into Taesung's room to wake him up. Taesung is still in bed. Haebom thinks to himself that in the past, all he had to do was to open the door and Taesung would spring up from the bed. Now he does not even budge, seems he has become comfortable with Haebom; so is that good or bad.. ㅋ He goes to Taesung's bed and tries to shake the burrito awake. He pulls a sleeping Taesung up and tries to get him to wake up for school; Taesung just plops onto him and mumbles 'Just 5 .. more minutes..', causing Haebom to become flustered. He says 'exactly 5 more minutes' and lets Taesung lean against him, while thinking "heavy.." Suddenly, Taesung leans more heavily against him (i.e. he's fast asleep so he becomes dead weight) and he ends up pushing Haebom against the bed and lying on top of him. He can hear his heart beating and thinks, he goes, "5 minutes has passed!", and Taesung replies, "it's not yet been 5 minutes.." (t/n: so he's not fast asleep? ㅋㅋㅋ)
- In class - a female classmate is carrying a pile of worksheets and asks Taesung to help her. A sleepy Taesung is like "Jo Younghee, she's calling you.." and Younghee says, "Isn't your name Jo Taesung (The classmate had specifically said Jo Taesung-sshi) He gets up reluctantly to help her and asks why she called for him; she says it's because he looks the strongest. Younghee quickly takes the opportunity to asks Haebom for his number. Suddenly Inje pushes over his phone and says 'me too' (asking for Haebom's number). Younghee is pleasantly surprised and Inje is like, I'm just going along with you all. Haebom thinks to himself, 'I have two more friends..."
- two panels showing Lee Sangwon with the guys he's trying to hang out with after splitting with Kim Junseung -
-Inje wonders if Haebom feels bad for being involved (i.e. the rumours) with Taesung. Haebom says, rather he's worried that Taesung is the one that feels bad. Younghee says he's the type that does not pay attention to such things, even having to put up with people asking if he's dating Jia. However, he's not sure about how he (Taesung) feels about being involved with Haebom. So Haebom is wondering why Taesung does not seem to feel bad about it. Because it's not the truth anyway..? Or..? Then suddenly Younghee talks about Haebom doing something with them later but Inje quickly covers his mouth saying Taesung would follow as well.
- Haebom and Taesung are walking together after school. Haebom mentions the days are getting longer (t/n: in the summer, days are longer). Taesung seems to be thinking about something then he suddenly pulls on Haebom's sleeve and asks "Why are you not going on a date with me?" Haebom is surprised and is thinking "Wasn't that a joke?". Taesung has a lost puppy expression and Haebom is thinking " *__* cute.. like a large dog" and replies "that time, it wasn't like I had a date with ahjumma (Taesung's mother).. anyway since ahjumma is working late, why don't we go and buy groceries and make dinner together?" Pleased Taesung "nice."
- Cute scenes of them buying groceries and Taesung holding a knife; Haebom panicking and saying let me do it; tah-dah = rice with curry. -
- They eat it and then talk about dishwashing. "I'll do the washing up.. no I'll do it... No.. I will... how about we do it together.."
-Haebom is thinking that ahjumma's really late today and wonders if she has a lot of work..
- He enters the bathroom and Taesung is just pulling off a shirt (i.e. TOPLESS). Haebom panics and apologises, rushing out. He's sitting outside being all flustered when a dressed Taesung comes out and tells him to use the bathroom as he will go to use the 1st floor's bathroom. Haebom says he doesn't have to, but Taesung says it's okay. Haebom thinks to himself that he too, has also begun to feel comfortable with Taesung since he had never made such blunders before and would also check beforehand...

Ep 23 text summary -
Haebom has something circled in red on a desk calendar and he thinks to himself "this time, I definitely have to remember it." It's Taesung's birthday. He sees Taesung in the morning and cheerfully wishes him a happy birthday; Taesung thanks him. Haebom asks Taesung if he has something that he wants to have; Taesung asks if he can think about it. Haebom says of course he can and thinks to himself that he could probably buy whatever it is that Taesung wants because of all the money he has saved until now.
- At school, Taesung receives a wrapped present from Nam Jia, Inje and Younghee. He says they didn't have to and opens it; it's a fragrance. He thanks them and says he'll use it well. Haebom sees it and wonders if he should have also prepared something but he doesn't know what Taesung likes and that he would really want to give him something that he wants. Seri also gives Taesung a present - then suddenly there are other female classmates and other schoolmates coming to wish him a happy birthday and give him presents. He has received quite a few. Haebom is surprised and realises that Taesung is indeed really popular.
- They are at home. It is already evening and Taesung has yet to inform Haebom of what he wants as a present. Taesung's mother tells them she has to go on an urgent business trip so not to fight and she'll be back soon. She leaves and Taesung suddenly says, "Haebom-ah, can I tell you what I want for a birthday present?" He asks for Haebom to drink alcohol with him. If he doesn't want to, it's okay. Haebom is surprised but as it is Taesung's birthday wish, he will. Haebom thinks to himself that all along he has been the one who is receiving (not giving) so it's okay to agree to this. They are going to drink Taesung's mother's alcohol that's in the fridge. It is both their first time drinking alcohol. Haebom drinks and thinks that the alcohol doesn't taste nice. Taesung says it's okay for him.
- Haebom is tipsy. Taesung asks if he is drunk already. Suddenly Haebom says "Umma, appa (mum, dad) I miss you. I'm sorry that I'm the only one that's left (survived the accident)" Taesung is worried and calls his name, placing his hand on Haebom's arm. Haebom looks up and places his hand on Taesung's hand that's on his arm. Haebom is crying and he says, "Taesung-ah, you're aren't going to disappear, right?"
Taesung is startled and then, he leans in, and holds Haebom.

Ep 24 text summary (Ep 30 comes out at midnight; I’m doing my best to try and catch up so updates can be in real-time but I’m also busy in rl so please don’t chase me ㅜㅜ Taesung is kissing Haebom. Haebom opens his eyes (he is still tearing and remember, he is tipsy), and kisses Taesung back. He clutches Taesung’s arm. Taesung is startled and they look at each other. Overwhelmed, Taesung holds Haebom tightly and says I will continue to be by your side. Haebom closes his eyes, tears spilling out and asks, is that a promise? Taesung replies, yes I promise. Haebom thinks, is that how you really feel? A speech bubble (t/n: Taesung’s voice) appears: Haebom-ah.
- Taesung’s mother returns from her business trip and wonders why the house is so quiet. She goes to Haebom’s room but he isn’t inside. She then goes into Taesung’s room and is overwhelmed by the smell of alcohol. She finds them sleeping together - Taesung is spooning Haebom. Haebom wakes up. She appears angry and demands that Haebom wake Taesung and go downstairs. Haebom is worried. He tries to wake Taesung up but a half-asleep Taesung holds onto Haebom and wants to continue sleeping. A worried Haebom thinks it isn’t the time to be sleeping and makes him get up anyway.
- downstairs, a panic-stricken Haebom apologises first followed by Taesung. Suddenly, jis mother bursts out laughing saying she had smelt the alcohol on them so she has figured they got drunk. Also, she said it didn’t mean she was okay with them drinking and it was probably Taesung that suggested it, not Haebom. As it was the first time they had done something like this and it was Taesung’s birthday, she would close an eye this time.
- Haebom is relieved that Taesung’s mother isn’t angry but wonders aloud just how much they had drunk, saying he can’t remember. Taesung is shocked and asks him until when does he remember what happened. Haebom is confused at Taesung’s reaction and replies he remembers drinking but.. he thinks to himself that Taesung seems angry.. and asks him if he had done something wrong. Taesung asks him if he remembers what he said to him but Haebom can’t remember and asks if he can tell him. Taesung says with a sombre expression that he (Haebom) has to remember it himself because it won’t be believable if he has to say it. He turns and walks away in a huff. Haebom is shocked and thinks to himself that Taesung is indeed angry.
- that night, he is in bed trying to recall what he had said to Taesung. He wonders if he had sworn (said bad words) at him. /Haebom falls asleep/ he heard Taesung’s voice saying “Haebom-ah” (t/n: recall speech bubble from earlier) and then, someone kissing him and him thinking that it feels good. He opens his eyes (in the dream) and sees Taesung looking down at him. He is startled and wakes up, only to see no one in his room. He sits up in bed and realised he had kissed Taesung and is at a loss..

Ep 25 text summary -
Haebom is shown sitting at his desk, searching on Naver (the Kr equivalent of Google) about "dreaming of kissing your friend" and he finds several results that says 1) it would mean the dreamer has been thinking of that friend often or has good feelings about that friend; 2) unresolved desire and not to pay attention to it. Haebom is like is it "good feelings? desire?"
- He is now in school and is seated beside Taesung in class. He thinks to himself "yes, it is just a dream. It is not something that he has been wanting. Taesung glances over at himself and Haebom is startled. He finds himself unable to look at Taesung in the eye. He wonders how he can avoid Taesung who (was) angry at him. Taesung is puzzled and asks if he has done something wrong. Haebom quickly says no, saying the one at wrong is him, for not being able to remember what happened. Taesung replies that since they had drunk a lot, he is also at fault so it's okay. So Taesung isn't angry and Haebom is relieved.
- Haebom and Inje are having cleaning duty and Inje asks Younghee and Taesung to wait. Younghee says they will be waiting outside.
-Outside, Taesung suddenly asks Younghee a question: What would you do if I ask you to date me? Younghee goes, WHAT? Taesung calmly replies, that's why I'm asking what if. (Younghee has dropped the ice cream he was eating) as he was so surprised by the question. Younghee replies that since it is Taesung, he could potentially give dating a go. Taesung has a ... expression and Younghee replies, you were the one who asked so what's with that expression? Younghee then says the reason for that is quite simple because who would not want to date with a good-looking man? But why such a question? Younghee wonders, does that mean Taesung has someone he likes? And why ask him? Why does it seem like he (Younghee) has an idea of who it might be?
- Inje and Haebom appear. Younghee suggests going for burgers. At the restaurant, Haebom realises he is actually! part! of! a group! of people! hanging! out! Suddenly, Younghee asks the boys jokingly if a handsome guy asked one of them to go out, would they? Inje replies that no matter how handsome, as it is a guy, how could he go out with him. Younghee then asks, Haebom, what about you? Haebom thinks, and side-glances at Taesung. He then replies nervously, I don't really know, it's not like a handsome guy would even ask me to go out with... Younghee interjects, nevermind, it's the case of what if? Haebom replies, if someone liked me, I think I would be grateful.. Inje replies, (the way Haebom has replied) is like no one at all likes him, that is really sad. Haebom apologies.. and then suddenly Younghee responds, 'why would there be no one who likes you? I like you!' - aja! (seems Younghee is trying to egg Taesung on- and then he realises the aura around Taesung has darkened ㅋㅋㅋ- Inje suggests introducing girls to Haebom (Younghee is beside him, thinking, no, you can't!) and what kind of style he likes (he shows his phone to Haebom: i.e. there's a pic of a girl there) how about her? Haebom declines, saying it's ok. Inje tells him not to be like that and asks if he has time this weekend. Taesung has another ... expression. As they are leaving, Inje says he'll call him later. A nervous Younghee is like Inje, please let's just go..
- Haebom and Taesung are walking home together and Haebom realises to himself that Taesung has been quiet from earlier. Suddenly Taesung asks if Haebom would really go for the appointment (the weekend thing Inje was suggesting). He says he would tell Inje so don't go if he (Haebom) doesn't want to. Haebom says he could go and think of it as making friends but Taesung quickly responds, that's not the case! (i.e. not about making friends cos it's clearly about dating) A nervous Haebom says ok, since anyway no matter who he meets, it wouldn't work out..adding with a smile, since if they found out about his situation (family circumstances) why would they like him?
-Taesung is wide-eyed. and blurts out, "I like you".
Haebom stops, thinking: just now (what did I hear?)
They face each other in silence.

He gets up to go and knock on Taesung’s room but at that moment, Taesung comes out. They are in the hallway. At first they stare at each other and then walk past each other in silence, then Haebom turns and says, Taesung ah! I am really sorry that I can’t accept your confession. Taesung asks why. Haebom says he can’t see how it (dating) can even happen. If ahjumma found out, they would have to separate, and it would be tougher to break up then as compared to now. Also, he doesn’t want to upset ahjumma. Taesung replies with a expressionless tone that Haebom’s answers are all about his mum, but what about him - Haebom’s heart? Haebom tries to say, “I don’t like..” but Taesung gets worked up and pushes Haebom against the wall, saying “that’s a lie! You know you like me!” He presses a kiss on Haebom and Haebom tries to turn his face away, saying “I don’t like this!” But Taesung uses his strength to hold Haebom’s face and forcibly kiss him.
- at that moment, ahjumma calls for them to come and eat fruits. Since there is no response, she wonders if they are studying and starts to climb the stairs. Haebom grips Taesung’s arm in worry trying to wordlessly make him stop.
- ahjumma comes up and asks what they are doing. It looks like Taesung had pushed Haebom against the wall as if he was confronting him for a fight. She is shocked and asks him to let go (his hand is holding the collar of Haebom’s hoodie). He storms away in silence. Ahjumma asks Haebom if he’s ok and if Taesung had hit him. Haebom says they weren’t fighting and he’s fine. He excuses himself and goes into his room where he starts tearing up. He covers his mouth to stop himself from making any sounds and thinks, I couldn’t say anything at all, how did I.. you.. what kind of shame.. (t/n: it insinuates that the shame here is what Haebom is feeling for liking Taesung/letting what happen, happen)
-outside, Taesung is shocked at himself for having done what he did, using his strength to force himself on Haebom.

Ep 27 text summary -
Taesung wakes up in bed in a listless mood. He is obviously still bothered by what had happened. Ahjumma is making breakfast and also lost in her own thoughts - thinking that it was clear the two had fought and what should she do..She wants to ask about what they fought about but doesn't think they would answer her. She realises Taesung is awake and is surprised as he has woken up early. He asks if Haebom has already left for school and ahjumma answers that he hasn't. He hasn't even come down so it seems he has overslept. She asks Taesung to go and wake Haebom up.
- Taesung knocks on Haebom's door and asks to enter.He realises that Haebom is still in bed and tries to wake him up. But he sees that Haebom is flushed and panting. He realises that Haebom has a fever and rushes down, carrying Haebom on his back, telling his mother that he is sick. She asks him to carry him to the car so she can bring him to the hospital. He wants to go along but she says he doesn't have to and will call him later so just go to school.
-At the hospital, the doctor informs ahjumma that it seems Haebom has fallen sick because he is stressed out about something. He says he needs to rest enough. She pats his head, saying he usually doesn't fall sick.. when he suddenly wakes up and realises he is in hospital. He asks what about her work. She is startled replying that he is sick, so she took some time off and it's okay. He says he's fine, not sick so he wants to go home. Finally she relents after being reluctant to let him out of bed, saying he has to remove his IV drip first.
- in school, Younghee seems worried about Haebom's absence due to sickness. Inje says they can go and visit him at home if they want to check on him. They ask Taesung if they know where Haebom stays. But Taesung seems lost in his thoughts and isn't paying attention. Suddenly his phone vibrates (silent mode because school) and Taesung rushes out to answer it. He quickly asks his mother how Haebom is. She replies he is fine and asks him to get porridge after school ends for him, as she doesn't know if she can end early. Taesung is confused and asks where she is. She says she's going to work. He asks if she is really leaving a sick kid sat home to go to work. She replies she wanted to stay but she noticed that Haebom wanted to be left alone. She ends the call by telling Taesung to make up with Haebom as he only has them as his family. He hangs up the call abruptly.
- Taesung picks up his bag suddenly to leave school early to the surprise of Inje and Younghee. They are left wondering what happened. Taesung arrives home carrying the porridge (juk in Korean). He thinks to himself that Haebom has fallen sick because of him. It was enough for him if he could be beside Haebom but because of his greed, it has become like this. He enters Haebom's room and Haebom is in bed but facing away from the door. he is awake and is flustered by Taesung's presence. He wonders how come Taesung is at home when (he should be in school).
