i hesitated adding this one to this list for so long, not because it isn't good, but because it isn't really a "bl". the romance is a subplot, the main story is all about grief, love, moving on, letting go... it paints a beautifully sad picture of these three boys and it is just such a gorgeous, gorgeous story. cried my eyes out reading it, had a lot of epiphanies about what it means to mourn someone, and came out a changed person after reading this.

THE ART OMG. it is so stunning. also the way both of them are such idiots in a good way, have the purest and funniest dynamic, realistic interactions, and interesting backstories... good pacing, great development, fantastic storytelling... what more could u need?! the steamy story of a horny and talented salaryman x his personal trainer all while he's crushing on his boss. this is a super fun story with a super endearing ML and a likable mc, awesome art, great smut, the fun kind of cliched drama. it's one of those reads that you pick up for fun but get invested in eventually. also a great ending to the love triangle that left nothing to be desired, no bitterness. super fun read!

an interspecies romance ft a human attending a school for monsters. what puts this one on my list is the author's brilliance at writing interpersonal relationships and telling the stories of not only the mcs who learn to trust and love each other, but all the other characters that come and go. 141 chapters feel like a lot but i can still recall so many moments that touched my heart. the kind of writing that is rare in bl with a story that just grows on you as it continues.

one of the first bls i read when i got into them again but i still haven’t added to this list for a very simple reason: the HORRIBLE second couple/side stories. but they don’t affect the main story at all which i HIGHLY recommend!
two actors—one who can read everyone’s memories and one who’s the only person whose memories can’t be read—reunite and their chemistry, their gradual development, and the mystery and drama in the plot will make this a super fun read!!
