this story about a lawyer caught up in a strange death and a jaded ceo blew my expectations away. i thought it would be very stereotypical, but goddamn this is well-written. you only grow to like the characters as they grow to like each other. the morally gray yet enjoyable characters, the realism of the dynamics present in the story, and the way the engaging plot actually offers high stakes and unpredictable twists--this was genuinely so fucking good
