i am once again here begging everyone to read the novel.... if u read this and felt like it was good but missing something, read the novel. it has better characterization, better pacing, goes into more detail, and has way more interactions between the characters. the worldbuilding is more discussed, the /implied/ romance is more intense!!! this is great as well but the novel is so good that it pales in comparison!!

god idk where to start with this series. i can't even begin to think about how to put how this work made me feel into words... so im just gonna ramble. holy shit the ending was just SO GOOD. the way eunyung and haejoon found each other and then found so many more people... this story about an angry, abused child and a depressed, reactive one finding home in each other and in a place they once hated was so fantastic from start to finish. the way the characters are all mind-blowingly realistic and interesting with their own backgrounds, plotlines, and development, the way all loose ends are slowly tied over the course of this story, the way the ending had me sobbing but still felt so fulfilling... the message about haejoon letting go really got to me but i can't put it into practice for them!! i need more!!!! i need side stories with haejoon in university and eunyung making his way in life and juwan and hara and minju and marie and ILL MISS THEM ALL SO MUCH AAAAAAAAAAAA
also the news about an anime is amazing but it can't top this manhwa i fear. the art direction and subtle symbolism is so hard to miss unless you take each panel in slowly and carefully.

i know a lot of ppl dislike her bc she comes off as very pushy but u will come to see that that's how she is, and she balances out jesse and cedric very well!! just bc u guys want jesse and cedric together doesnt mean christelle is a bad character, she is literally the protagonist of their universe. jesse avoids her bc he doesn't want to be caught up in the "plot", not because he doesnt like her. no spoilers but eventually, the three of them develop such strong ties with each other that you'll forget u ever disliked her, she's an amazing character!!
also stop hating on any female character close to ur bl ship. grow up !!!!

why did this barely follow the novel. just the overall timeline. but they skipped so many good scenes for worldbuilding and more importantly for ROMANCE!!! they skipped the feelings, the developing trust between jesse and cedric and the developing friendship between jesse and christelle. they completely sidelined aurelie's mentorship for jesse--she doesnt seem as significant of a character as she actually is. and because so many details are missed, u dont see how much the people of the palace like jesse!!! how they fret over him so much because he's so kind to them, and so many tiny worldbuilding moments are skipped, like the explanations for powers or the "almighty god", or the romero palace and juliette palace dynamics which, agian, was so good to understand cedric more!!!!
but overall, man, i just love twsb so much that i loved this. can't wait to read more!!! i forgot how early twsb was just cedric and christelle trying to woo jesse with every chapter LOLLL i love them to death <3
