The FMC is a literal image of a cat, even her name 'Mao Mao' shows that. She is a walking example of 'curiousity killed the cat' and there are many funny moments as there are sad parts about the dark parts of politics irrespective of gender. Frankly speaking, without Mao's plot armour, she would be long dead due to the large amount of lines she has crossed and there were situations like that as well. But I admit it's done well though I would have preferred her to be single than to be lead around like a cat toy by a narcissistic, self centred "ennuch" (backgrounds between them are also complex, so unfortunately unable to disobey orders) Also if some readers are uncomfortable with sex worker related plots or perverted characters in certain parts, reading this could put mental strain and this wouldn't be for everyone. But do try enjoying this story cuz it does give off a different vibe that even in romance, it isn't always 'happily ever after' and how time changes even the best of people into strangers.
