I know :( i dislike it when authors go for 4 ears. If they have animal characteristics, why not commit to have just animal ears. The 4 ears don't even make friggin sense unless the human ears don't work or the animal ears don't.

atp i think its more like a decorative thing because they aren't shown to be shapeshifting unlike that manga "to make an omega mouse squeak" i think is its name where the animal ear can appear and disappear while they have human ears. they also shapeshift there so yep.
