In that manga, party A was supposed to be a straight guy, and then he suddenly realized that the party B was in love with a guy there. Even though both party have never got in any close contact before.
If you have not yet read that one, then sorry I will spoil some here. Later at further episode, party A finally realized that in the start, the reason why he know that party B was in love is because A have been always watching and interested in B and actually like him. A just didn't realize it until spending more time with B.
I hope you understand what I'm trying to explain here... lol

probably because the story focuses way more on the romantic aspect than the sexual aspect of their relationship
